A mostly quiet park, save for the murmurs of people walking past, and the chatter and laughter of children who'd rather spent the remainder of the day catching what rays of light the sun had left to offer. Even the biting chill of the coming evening would not deter them from their deserved fun. Just as it did not the deter the man on a nearby bench from reading the day's newspaper and enjoying a cup of coffee, even as the occasional breeze was keen on folding his paper over. A scene that remained and went on as so until the introduction of a new character caught the children's attention. Two of which were quick to move in on the newcomer, racing up to her and latching onto her hands to pull her into the group.
A baseball cap, twin braids closed off at the end by mismatched ties, a jacket she seems to be drowning in, and---most noticeably--- a pair of heart-shaped sunglasses with bright red frames that seemed to clash with the rest of the outfit. At a glance, any curious onlooker would believe this the reason she caught the attention of the children. A second, more observant glance would reveal that she moved along with them with certain familiarity. Sense of familiarity proven more so when the group's voices overlapped with greetings of 'kimi nee-chan.'
Kimiko settled into the group, joining them in their huddle. The children were in a sort of heated debate, arguing back and forth, one occasionally raising their voice high enough to cause the man to glance up before returning to his reading. This went on for a while until Kimiko stuck her head up, looking around before eyes hidden behind tint of sunglasses settled on Anzu. She leaned down to whisper something to the boy next to her, who excitedly stuck his head up to look over at the lone girl, too. In a blink, he leaves the huddle and races up to her, waving an arm at her. "Nee-chan! Nee-chan! Join us! We want to make teams, but we need one more or one less. And--and we don't want Kimi nee-chan to sit out this time, so! Please!" He looks up at her pleadingly. Behind him, huddle of five other children look to her expectantly. Kimiko, too, lifts a hand and waves her over. //@quickdeaths
