ㅤㅤ❛ i don't mean to complain, love, but are we almost there? i know i may appear as though i have endless stamina, but i do have my limits. ❜ his tone is lighthearted, but it's clear in the way he's slowed down and how he's begun to hunch over slightly that his words are far more jovial than he's truly feeling. he wants nothing more than to rest so he can heal, and begin the surely lengthy journey ahead of him to save his daughter.

ㅤㅤher first instinct is to try and hide said body, guilt and shame bubbling up in her chest in equal measure. however, that'd surely been a rhetorical question, and she recognizes that there's no point in denying it. even if the other wasn't a vampire, he does have two functioning eyes, and her most recent victim is in plain view. ❛❛ ... yes, ❜❜ she finally responds simply, not knowing what else to say. what else could she say? she doesn't need her sins to be pointed out to her to be aware of them, and the question leaves her feeling almost resentful. ❛❛ i do plan on taking care of it, if that's your next question, ❜❜ she adds, arms crossing defensively. ❛❛ but if you're planning on asking me next why i killed them, don't bother. it's none of your business. ❜❜ plus she just ... doesn't even really know the answer to that question herself.

ㅤㅤ❛❛ oops? ❜❜ she echoes, voice taking on a distinctly displeased note and making it clear it was spoken as a complaint. her arms cross over her chest, the gesture accompanied by a pout. ❛❛ if you were going to be killing people, you could've invited me along, you know. ❜❜ she moves forward to toe at the corpse, head tilting as she studies the lifeless form. they could've been killed a bit more purposefully, more beautifully ... ah, but no point in mourning events that have already passed. she will simply find someone she herself can kill, and she can do it right. her gaze drifts back to jackie, glimmering with excitement as she imagines who might die next. ❛❛ come, let's hunt some more. it's no fair if you're the only one having any fun. ❜❜

ㅤㅤthe smell was overwhelming, and she mind had long since wandered off. so much blood ... how many had met their end to create such a large pool? a smile was pulling at her lips before she even realized it, and she yearned for someone of her own to turn into a lifeless husk. despite her current affliction, she didn't have a particular fondness for blood ⸻ death, however? death, she couldn't get enough of. she likely would've lost herself entirely to her dreamy state if it weren't for sara speaking, the other's voice snapping her out of it. she startled a bit, smile falling from her face abruptly. ❛❛ yes, of course. i'm sorry, i got ... lost in thought for a moment there. ❜❜ her lips pressed together for a moment in frustration, the emotion turned inward. could she have made it anymore obvious that there was something terribly wrong with her?

Bruce had been working around the clock the past few days. He believed he was coming up with something revolutionary. He was on the verge of creating a program that would actually be able to heal flesh wounds and give people skin where they had previously lost it- Whether it be from third degree burns or any other sort of wound that would damage the skin. Of course he was tired, but in Bruce’s mind science never slept.

It was kind of a dangerous way to think, honestly. Bruce even thought of himself as a science experiment sometimes. Even though he knew he shouldn’t for fear of the Hulk coming out, he sometimes tested on himself. He did this without his friends knowledge. However now he needed a friends help. Whenever he wasn’t working on his skin regrowth idea, he was working on something unnamed so far. Something that would be able to take the Hulk out if needed. Bruce pulled out his phone and sent a text to Tony, who he was hoping was still awake. “Come here. I have an idea and I need you.” He sent, pulling up some blue prints.
