“The offer of an ice pick still stands. Just saying.” Okay, so maybe she wasn’t really going to take Laura’s ex-husband’s eye out via ice pick (as his non-demon status would make that straight up murder). But after all he had put Laura and Mindy through...the thought/image was a satisfying one.

The fires of Arkadia still burned brightly, fear took hold of her heart as she watched the empire burn. Yet, it wasn’t for her own survival. No, it was for the backlash, the loss of this impossible idea they had that this--this could save them. She knew she wouldn’t survive, not with the few. Instead, she would live her life as it came yet still help where needed. She owed them that much. She glanced to her left, a familiar face watching the hope of so many burn away. She offers him a smile before speaking, “If I knew this was happening, I would have saved the marshmallows from the galley.” It was light, something they all needed in that moment. “In truth, I’m glad it burns.”

"F-father! Mother! Diana!" Isadora called in a panic, eyes darting to the door and clutching at the sheets, mussing her blonde locks with her jittery struggles to put as much room between herself and the stranger in her quarters. In only her nightshirt, she'd crept as far up the bed as was possible and thus hit the headboard with a loud thunk. The jolt of the action broke her hysteria for the moment and so, screwing up her courage, she turned her terrified face back towards the other.

"Who are you?" She demanded, though it came with more of a quiver than she'd like.
