v; no one man should have all that power
I try to run but my feet move too slowly And I feel the earth fall apart
Basic Verse Information:
The stress of watching Delsin putting himself in dangerous situations time and time again has triggered the Conduit gene in Reggie in this verse, granting him powers relating to the earth.
Power Set:
Quick Travel--Terraporation: Teleporting via dirt, mud, rock, stone, and other earthen substances, merging into earth and appearing anywhere else from the same element.
Short Range Attack--Gravel Shrapnel: Calling a dense cloud of small to medium sized rocks, Reggie has the ability to lash out at enemies in much the same way Delsin uses his chain.
Long Range Attack--Projectile Stalagmites: While these sharp rock formations could easily be used for more lethal takedowns, if he uses them, Reggie tends to pin enemies in place with them, causing as little damage as he can manage.
Best Defense--Rock Shell: To give himself time to heal or plan his next move in safety, he can surround himself with a thick layer of rock, but this is an incredibly draining process.
Karma Bomb--Earth Shaker: Reggie's most powerful move involves him pounding the ground to create and earthquake; this can also cause temporary, nonlethal petrification with the right application. Immediately afterward, Reggie is left nearly defenseless.
Additional Information:
Reggie's Conduit abilities are a closely guarded secret. Since discovering his powers, he's avoided allowing his brother within arm's reach, preferring to talk to him via phone.
He hates that he's become a Conduit, and the reason he's pushing so hard for a cure for Delsin, is because he wants one for himself as well.
He is still highly prejudiced against all Conduits other than Delsin, and this is something I'd like to explore with Fetch(s), Eugene(s), and OC Conduits.
This AU has the potential to involve both of Delsin's karmic paths, and in fact, I have tentative plans for each.
