#verse notes.

this will be my blade runner verse notes post when i can bother to make it semi-coherent in formatting but i'm lazy right now and have a work call in 30 min but i need to be able to reference these when i reply to my thread with cherry

timeline is flexible! can be easily set during the "original' canon or more alongside 2049 depending on the other person's verse

matt is a human; he is still, you guessed it, also a lawyer and daredevil.

the scope of law is quite different in blade runner so alongside typical daredevil actions at night, matt also secretly helps forge papers and other such documents for replicants escaping to off-world or coming to earth from off-world to try to help them be able to live a normal life (this is especially relevant in universes set in the original timeline for blade runner when the 4 year lifespans for replicants are a thing)

honestly can be quite easily adjustable as blade runner is a generally fairly corrupt and dystopian universe but isn't necessarily integrated with any of matt's direct themes especially cuz i'm not necessarily tying him to the job of being a blade runner or a replicant obviously so.

VERSE: STAR WARS.

this is rooted in the era of the prequels just because this is the era of star wars i like the most

matt has lived on coruscant his whole life. his backstory is basically the same: he was blinded in an accident involving a speeder and some star wars chemicals that enhanced his senses and, while he was not 'traditionally' force-sensitive, the heightened senses developing post-blindness led in turn to his force sensitivity developing. after his father (an underground boxer) died, matt was discovered by the jedi, and taken to the temple to begin training as a padawan.

matt had a lot of issues with the jedi temple and their trainings and at some point he left the order before he could become a jedi knight. thus he still gets to keep having jedi-related religious beliefs and guilt to mirror canon-matt's catholic guilt jdslfkjlds

post-leaving the order he moved back to the part of coruscant he grew up in (which i'll still call something similar to hell's kitchen just for consistency's sake) and became the star wars equivalent of a lawyer which i will probably have to research more and invent world-building myself but you get it.

with his force sensitive abilities he decided to become the vigilante daredevil to battle the ever-growing corruption of the senate on and around coruscant and sticks to operating on the planet. this keeps him at the star wars equivalent of 'street-level' but i can move him to other star wars settings if needed.

!!: this could probably also be adapted into a general sci-fi verse, just minus the specifics of the jedi obviously.

VERSE: pokemon.

now that i have written this a bit i have to put my ideas to paper yayy.

in this verse matt has aura abilities as portrayed in the lucario movie and pokespe. when he was blinded he became more sensitive to these powers. as always the aura stuff will remain pretty grounded in portrayal instead of getting all superpowery, it's just to explain his hypersensitivity.

in this verse stick, who goes around trying to find aura-sensitive kids like he's a jedi knight or something, found matt and gifted him a riolu (his first pokemon. but don't get it twisted this was purely so matt could figure out his powers quicker not cuz stick is nice in this verse) and helped him learn how to control it.

matt lives in hammerlocke city, which is also where his firm is located. of course, he's also the vigilante daredevil by night, keeping tabs on chairman rose and the macro cosmos' activity across the city (sidenote rose as a wilson fisk stand-in is kind of killing me)

matt isn't a trainer in the way that he's never participated in the gym challenge or official tournaments but his team is quite strong and he can hold his own against any seasoned trainer and is probably recognized as being a pretty strong trainer within hammerlocke. he just uses his pokemon team for vigilante activities instead of traditional trainer stuff.

i feel like eventually someone would be like Heyyy that daredevil guy has the same team as that matt murdock guy so maybe i'll take a daredevil 2011 approach with the identity for this verse where daredevil can be like quasi-acknowledged to 'be' matt but he's usually like 'i don't know anything about that'

matt's pokemon team is: lucario, houndoom, mienshao, noctowl, and mogrem.

VERSE: final fantasy 7.

i wrote this with the og comp in mind but this can easily be tweaked for remake/rebirth if needed/wanted.

matt's backstory and current lore is generally the same as his default verse. he grew up and currently lives in sector 5 which is this version of matt's 'hell's kitchen.'

as a kid, instead of chemicals getting in his eyes, mako got in his eyes and blinded him instead, resulting in the usual daredevil high-senses while also giving him a higher attunement with the lifestream, just to continue to make this a little more ff7-compliant with its themes and whatnot.

like my phoenix verse for ff7 on my multi (cuz there's only so much i can do with a lawyer character when it comes to re-adapting them for 7), matt presently works as a lawyer in sector 5 in his firm 'nelson & murdock'. he's also, of course, the vigilante daredevil.

shinra knows of daredevil's existence, how much you think he's a threat can be left up to plotting, especially because i think daredevil would be relatively infamous in sector 5 but not particularly well-known outside of that! i imagine AVALANCHE also knows of him, but since daredevil is kind of annoying about working independently bcuz of matt's ego, he would probably help them on the occasional mission, but be unaffiliated.

a reminder that my main verse is basically ... some of the plot events of the mcu happened. clint was taken by loki; he got freed; they fight and the avengers are formed. shit with ultron happens, even ( ignoring maymoffs events. ) stuff from ca:tws to a degree. i can even vibe with the later movies if i need to re: civil war! endgame ( altering plot details re: nat not coming back, clint never becomes ronin, the family. ) 

but the entire time during these events, stuff from the comics is also happening. clint does not have the family; he lives in an apartment in bed-stuy that he eventually has to defend from the mafia; he knows kate bishop ( i don’t usually follow the tv show canon for this but i can if i need to partially! ). clint is deaf the entire time; the degree to which is worsened during the incident with the clown re: fraction’s run. i also use fraction’s run personality. 

like the snap happens but he’s living in bed-stuy! he’s an avenger but he doesn’t live on the farm! you know! 

anyway if anyone needs any clarifications on any of this you can absolutely reach out to me. my main verse is loose so that i can alter it to write with anyone i need to/want to.

SUPERNATURAL AU NOTES

When wyatts kidnapped, all his friends are murdered. He’s the only one that ‘survives’

He can’t be sensed or found because the town he’s in is surrounded by the bones/bodies of thousands of witches killed by demons. It’s an act of evil so powerful it causes a blind spot in the world. No one knows the town exists and it, and those in it, can’t be sensed or found by magic.

Wyatt’s mannerisms are similar to the comic version of The Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes. He’s working simply for the bad guy, living for them. He’s Lucifers’ weapon, nothing else. But that IS his life, he’s very loyal to them, he knows nothing else. It’s not something as simple as being controlled or brainwashed (though he has slightly been through the trauma and torture he faced). It’s just who he is now. Take this video for inspiration and how he acts when he’s not ‘ working ’. Demons, weirdly enough, are his family. His friends. He’s loyal to them and Lucifer alone.

Eventually his family do find him and remind him of who he is. But being, virtually, raised by Lucifer from the cage (the only person he had to talk to) Wyatt can’t destroy the connection he’s formed with him. He doesn’t like it, but he’s always seen him as his father as Lucifer, tauntingly, has always treated him like his ‘son’. (interactions where he’s ‘good’ again and trying to redeem himself will only take place through plotting or request. The default will be ‘weapon’ Wyatt).

When Wyatt does come back to his senses he loathes Lucifer. He destroyed his life, everything good about him. It’s just a big old complicated mess. And while he wants him dead, deep down, he doesn’t know if he can do it himself. 

Eventually, he doesn’t feel comfortable being with his family anymore. The connection there is broken and he’s done so much that he feels undeserving of them, but also, totally wrong acting as this ‘warrior for good’ when he’d done so many horrible things. Vanishing one day with nothing but a note telling them not to look for him. Wyatt starts up his own bar/semi-roadhouse in the middle of outback america that acts as a respite for all magical and supernatural creatures. Hunters are welcome so long as they mind their own business and don’t hurt any of his customers. He changes his name, especially his last name, and doesn’t hunt or fight evil anymore. He’s just impartial to it all and totally neutral only providing information if its needed. All he wants is to finally live as his own person without any side pressuring him to be theirs. (this is after either, Lucifer being sent to the cage or after he’s killed in s14). 

In this specific verse, Wyatt IS half angel half witch. THIS HC explains it further but essentially Leo was one of heavens angels that was thought to be killed by Lucifer in the uprising. However, he just used that opportunity to live amongst humans ─ changing his name to Leonardo Wyatt and becoming a guardian angel for witches. Eventually, he falls for Piper and Wyatt is born ( along with Chris and Mel ) but he gives up his grace for his family just like in the show, becoming human.

problem is that i have no cause for him to go that way that isn’t founded in ‘amor wants this to happen’. but i’m sure i can pretend there’s a good reason Bl do i have this in my pages already? god i don’t even know my own pages anymore. lmfao yolo.
