I have an idea for mistystarshine's envy thing — the reason envy in 03 is so different is because he's around Dante so much and she brought back his memories of her and he acted more childlike to for his new self-image, even though he really dislikes age, gender, and physical appearance as judgments for worth (except he hates his green forms and loves taunting Ed's shortness.) Also maybe his biological father was Father but Dante (since father is gone in 03?) was so warped she believed he was -
....and the hc still going on and on
a continued ramble- Potentially he doesn't remember this though due to severe psychological trauma causing the memories to be buried, like how Al's subconscious buried his memories of the gate. It could also contribute to the differences in his personality between manga an '03, potentially along with some of his more erratic behaviors. Hidden trauma? Oh yes. Just felt like sharing that. :3 Potentially getting fanfic-y.
