the world shifts where she stands, blurring around her. there's an uncomfortable pull in her stomach as nausea washes over her body like a wave, bile rising in her throat. and then suddenly it stops. her knees fall to solid ground, nails digging into the dirt as her body battles to right itself. ❝ rory. ❞ amy clings on to the memory of him. how one minute he was beside her and the next - gone. lost to time and space. she pulls herself to her feet, using a nearby headstone as a clutch. unsure gaze turns to the names engraved; she doesn't recognise them. she's in the same place, the same spot, but it's different. newer, brighter, the grass literally greener. ❝ rory! ❞ his name is a cry now, a desperate plea. he has to be here.

Where there is little light, there is much darkness. His hand reaches to cup her face, softly admiring her. Sakura has always been beautiful, the kind that makes everyone look up and notice her. They all have their traits, the little things that call attention to them. Naruto, sunshine. Try as Sasuke might to disvow it, his yellow-haired friend is sunshine itself. Sakura, beautiful. As her namesake remarks, the petals that fall from a tree covered in greenery and earth's most floral creatures, Sasuke himself nearly loses himself into her green eyes. Sasuke Uchiha. the strong one. (the mistake. the one who shouldn't have survived it all.) For years, the light that is Sakura and Naruto is snuffed out, hidden from him as he laid lost searching for a reprieve. The night is dark, but their love is light. " Sakura — it's getting late. "

Love is a peculiar thing, one can be so undeserving, yet it can still find you so easily. The past is heavy between them, buried underneath the layers of memories that haunt him like a ghost. One.
