Forgive me for the sudden 'bout of Parade's End though- I can't say I'm sorry, its such a beautifully tragic story that is played out in over all magnificence throughout the episodes- each being a culmination of- 'where is this going to end'- 'how will it end', making you root for someone that is just so- broken up- struggling to do the right thing even though its wrong because he is so- undeserving of the terrible treatment which we know is purposefully given to him- though he doesn't realize that himself. He believes in someone who is nothing but a lie. We know who he deserves- the sweet, kind, innocent girl whom fights for the right thing yet still knows how to give her respects to those whom don't support it openly, someone who longs to make his sorrows melt- even though he struggles to let her in because he fears it is not presentable- but not for himself- for his wife whom- is the woman that tortures him every chance she gets, and for a boy that he isn't even certain is his son. If there was anyone completely virtuous- it would be Christopher Tietjens.

I recommend this series to anyone looking for something with a broad length of meaning and a beautifully played out storyline that grasps you and makes you wonder what the ending result will be. I have strong feelings about this series- going into it for Benedict Cumberbatch- and coming out of it, a fan, of Christopher Tietjens as the character he is- not as the actor he's played by.
