Mase has been doing martial arts since a young age so he's always had the basics down. Cerberus put him through a lot of intense training once he started receiving upgrades. He's had training in a lot of different styles (probably goes for all the phoenix boys) including biotic training by an Asari huntress in an effort for Cerberus to rival the Alliance's Valkyrie program.
