I'm teaching another college 101 class w a new textbook, and I'm reading through the chapter about note taking and being prepared for class. It's giving me flashbacks of the worst students who would show up to class with nothing: haven't read the chapter, don't have a notebook, a single piece of paper, or even a writing utensil of any kind. It's so disrespectful and made me want to actively find a way to fail them.
