Imagine Steve and Natasha cuddling on the couch while it’s snowing outside! (Bonus of Bucky joins!)
It shouldcome to no one’s surprise that Steve isn’t a fan of winter. It was depressing,cold, wet, gloomy and dark. The only half-decent thing that ever comes out ofwinter is Christmas, but global warming fucked that up this year, robbing them of aWhite Christmas.
But it’sokay, really.
Winterwill be over soon and Steve can go back to running every morning without lookinglike a giant marshmallow. That, however, he blames completely on Bucky.
Bucky is an even-earlier-riser than Steve and makes sure that Steve is allbundled up and protected before he goes out into the frigid temperatures. As ifhe actually needs it…because…you know, he’s a super soldier running hotter thanmost human beings and all, but that does not stop Bucky from mother-henning him even for a second.
Stevedoesn’t mind it. He knows Bucky does it because he loves him and that thought aloneis enough to melt away any ill feelings Steve has towards the situation. The clothes doesn’t hinder him much and they are comfortable. Steve really has nothing but aesthetic to complain about. Thankfully,winter means that there’s really no one out at this time of day to witness hisattire. After all, he’s back in base before the sun comes up.
Stevesprints across the driveway and nods a hi to FRIDAY as she lets him in.
Correction: noone witnesses his attire except Bucky…and Nat who is currently curled intotheir boyfriend’s embrace on the living room couch. They’re watching a movie of some kind.
To hercredit, she doesn’t outright laugh like Sam did when she sees him. Her lips dotwitch and Steve steels himself against the jokes as he drops a kiss on eachof their lips. Tony would never, ever see him like this, he decides.
“I’ll takea shower and I’ll join you?” Steve looks Nat and grins when she nods.
She isn’tthe tactile type…most days. Some days, she’ll drape across anyone that is nearher (she prefers Tony, who has been ranked The Most Cuddlable by the rest of them—a title he takesoffense to) and other days, the decision made by planet alignment andher molecular craving. Either way, it is her choice and Steve always makes sureto ask. They all do.
Steve runsthrough his shower quickly, the thought of his partners out there waiting forhim causing him to move at super human speeds. He changes into a pair of sweatsand one of Nat’s favorite cuddle shirts before ending up on the other side ofNat on the couch. He preens slightly when she shifts to burrow into him. Bucky stickshis tongue out at him over her head and Steve replies with the same. He scootscloser to Bucky. All three of them shift until they’re all cuddling properlyand Steve doesn’t have to stretch too far to kiss either one of them as themovie plays in the background.
