Dear dad?

Dear dad,

My view of you has changed a lot in the past two years or so. I used to look up to and want to impress you so much, now I’m not so sure. I don’t think I’ll ever be entirely certain of what happened - it’s doubtful I’ll get a clear account of the events from anyone - but I do know it’s damaged my opinion of you beyond repair. I still love you, of course. You’re still the same father who loved and nurtured me as I grew up. But I’m also an adult now, and I’m old enough to know that you were wrong in what you did, no matter how you try and spin it.

I hope that you and mom figure things out, I honestly do. I want you to stay in my life. But if mom ends up deciding she wants rid of you, I’ll side with her. I love you, I always will, but I have to do the right thing and so should you.

I think I'm decent-ish at writing? At least, I used to be... don't do so much of it anymore. I don't think I'm really, REALLY good at anything tbh.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. Hands down. That game is the most amazing creation.

21. How do you feel about the school system?

In Ireland? It's bullshit. The Leaving Cert hasn't changed format for like 60 years and puts an unreasonable amount of pressure on students. Most subjects are 100% exam based - no work you do during the two years of the course counts, it's all down to one measly paper that could so easily go wrong regardless of how much you've studied. It's so unfair and so stressful..

28. Is there good in everyone?

I think everyone is capable of doing good things - that's different, I guess. Everyone could be good, just some people... don't see the need to be, I suppose.

Grey and green!
