first of all, i'll say that i've read spider boxes but never managed to finish it. it's a good series however, so hats off. my spideypool bookmarks are fairly outdated, mind you, but below is some of them!
alright, so there's In Plain Sight, which is a short and fun read.
Prompt: "Peter on tik-tok pretending like he figured out a way to replicate what looks like Spider-Man web shooters, for the views. And becoming a ‘cosplayer’ of his own superhero, pairing up with other Deadpool cosplayers for the meme, until the real Deadpool, who is apparently a fan of his and follows all of his social media, begs to be in one of his videos."
The first thing to know about the whole debacle was that, at some point, gig based jobs had quietly trickled away from telephone pole fliers and library bulletin boards, and had instead put down roots in apps and social media.
This leads to the second thing that was important to know: as always, Peter Parker needed money.
Which brings the story to the third (and possibly most important) thing to know was that in addition to shepherding in an age of apps and social media platforms, kids these days had also figured out ways to make money from just existing on these platforms.
A lightbulb went off in Peter’s head.
He yanked out his phone and typed in ‘how tio makke mone yfrom tick tock.
then there's #HeySpiderMan. I... don't fully remember how this goes, but it was like a pretty fun fic if i recall it correctly?
The #HeySpiderMan hashtag is supposed to be a low stakes, friendly way for the people of New York to communicate with Peter. Not (to repeat: not) so people can proposition him by tweeting gratuitous nudes at him. Annoyed and impatient, Peter tries to solve the problem the best (re: worst) way possible: By telling the world, on live television, that he and his boyfriend would like the propositions to stop.
Just one problem: Peter doesn't actually have a boyfriend. Like, at all. He doesn't even get laid, he's so busy.
Wade aims to fix that.
theeeeen we have My Boyfriend's a Murder Bot of which i remember like nothing of, but i bookmarked it so it must've been a banger. past!rhythm is known to have a pretty good taste #real #notfake
Wade Winston Wilson is ugly. His skin's inside out. It ripples and moves every second of every day, at constant war with the cancer. Vanessa put on a brave face for him when she first saw the changes, but it turns out even she can't stomach the sight for long. He's ugly and alone and nothing will ever be good in life again -
If only that were his only problem.
But Weapon X is at it again, under crisp new management, turning orphans into super slaves and bringing out the big guns to make sure nobody interferes this go around (namely one Pool comma Dead). So now, not only is Wade alone and ugly forever, but he's got a bit of a pest problem in the form of a black-clad murder-happy man spider with a collar around his neck and an unhealthy obsession with tying Deadpool up.
So maybe it's not all bad...
i really need to add some more. this was during the times in which i was very stingy with my bookmarks purely because i'd forget that it was an option ao3 offered, so i know there are a lot more good fics out there that i haven't saved up, but,,,,,,,, yea. maybe these will work to pull u back into the spideypool hell

i'm alright! i had a few (maybe a bit more than a few, but let's go with that) health issues, and then some other stuff too, i won't go too into it but yea, i was mia from all social media stuff bc of it ;-; i'm better now, honestly i think it damaged my social battery way worse than it did my actual health in the long term LMAO
but thank u for thinking abt me while i was off. like, that's actually insanely sweet and i never thought seeing master splinter would make me this happy lol
