Will the traditional meaning or symbolism of the flower have any meaning on the namesake's personality or motivations?

originally that was my plan, but a lot of flowers have similar meanings or have meanings that just don't line up to what I had in mind for the characters so probably not!!

Are kobots vulnerable to things that phones are, such as water and falls?

kobots would be 'okay' in rain, if protected well enough in a pocket or bag. being submerged in water would cause damage. it's possible to waterproof them but it's expensive. most people settle for a miniature rain coat. 

kobots can take the usual from-the-hip fall and land on their feet, undamaged. but anything more than that could result in serious damage. don't throw kobots off balconies.
