Luca 🐟🍝🛵🇮🇹

I'll preface this by saying that it's a shame that they didn't release this one in theaters because it would've been awesome to see it on the big screen. Who knows, maybe one day.

I'm a big fan of movie soundtracks, so first thing to mention would be the main theme: love it. It has a sense of longing, happiness, sadness and inspiration. The only thing that I would request is for the whistling part to be longer lol

Overall, I thought it was a good movie. There were no stupid jokes, the way characters talked/acted appeared very authentic (they didn't seem like caricatures of that culture), no typical evil characters (there's one but he's simply a jerk), and it was simple. It was simple in a good way, and I mean it as a compliment. It was about life.

Similar to Raya and The Last Dragon, the scenery looked insanely real. Perhaps it was! There were parts during which I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me because the water, trees and sand all looked real. I like this trend and I hope they'll continue to do that in future movies.

Another thing that I liked is that when there was a conflict between the main characters, it got resolved quickly. No one turned "bad" and decided to sabotage the other due to hurt feelings. They admitted their mistakes, friendship prevailed and they were there for each other. Moreover, each got what he/she was longing for all along.

Lastly, there was a phrase that just hit me. It's somewhere halfway through the movie, and I believe Luca is the one who says it. I don't remember the exact words, however, it went something like this: I've always dreamed of [insert dream/goal], but I've never really done anything about it. Ain't that the truth. I think we could all relate to having a dream/goal in mind but not charging after it. If anything, I'd say this phrase is the theme of the movie. Making your goals a reality is a tedious task that requires a lot of effort, but you have to do it if you want the result. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it.

With that said, I'll try my best to apply Alberto's advice to my life. If the little voice in your head keeps telling you that you can't do something or keeps you from achieving something that you truly want, then tell that voice "Silenzio, Bruno!" and keep moving forward.
