Quite some time had passed since their last encounter, something that had both been a mission gone awfully wrong and a rescue that hadn’t been authorized. When Seifer had managed to bring Vesper to safety, almost crashing their car into the next diner, he had not been sure if the curatives would be enough to save the other Glaive. He had still tried, and after that had called for the other Glaives to come and get them asap - since Vesper would definitely need more than field medics to deal with this. It had been hours, the sun had begun to rise, and when the escort finally came, there was no danger of any daemons to be seen anymore. Some kind of squad they were. That had been the last time Seifer had seen the solitary Glaive, or heard of them. For the most part, he was kept out of the loop because apparently it had been decided, despite Seifer having rescued a comrade, his disobeying of orders to stay put was reason enough to actually end him in lockdown for almost a month. Of all the things he had done to try and earn some kind of punishment, the one thing that he had considered to be the right decision was, of course, once more the reason for the significant trouble he ended up in. And frankly, at this point, Seifer wasn’t even surprised about it anymore. Finally released and put back on duty, they had apparently decided to include him on lengthy missions outside the wall, again preventing him to check in on Vesper - so much that he eventually came to the conclusion that maybe the fellow Glaive had not made it after all, and this was a way to keep him occupied and from voicing any accusations of help having come too late, too hesitantly. Doubts and suspicions raised, the tall blond eventually had begun to investigate where the younger man used to live, finally getting the intel he needed to go and check for himself. Heavy steps now led up to the door and with lips pressed thin, he lifted a hand to rap his knuckles on the door, waiting if there would be a reply.
