*beosboxboy's male curly hair for all ages* - Not Repo
So to preface this I've been working on a couple drawings behind the scenes, because of my current availability and situation they will not be released until mid August or beginning of September.
That being said I made a play list for a fanfiction preseries (non-canon) "Angelus Mortis" written by @loveless-scribes and co-writter @scribe-of-elysium to help me create new ideas for their rewrites they've done for first 14 chapters.
I'm showing my age a bit here, but I've been a long time fan ever since Quietus was released in 2009. On and off for years and got back to re-reading the entire series in 2019 and 2021 when Angelus Mortis was released. Both are beautifully written and hold a special place in my heart. I will eventually print and bind both series once they are done and I'm hoping y'all keep up the great work.
I'm also making Fanart for the side story of Quietus, Quietus: The Appendices (Chapter 7) that was written a couple years ago, but that will also be ok hold until later
Playlists are below and I have some suggestions for other playlists if viewers on Tumblr or on Discord want to take a listen. The first playlist is not genre specific, but if y'all have any playlist ideas or suggestions I'm open and ready to listen!
Love you guys have a lovely evening!

Reminder that Betty Finn’s nickname for Veronica is ‘Ronnie’ :)
Toni: You didn’t know Veronica was bi?
Betty: How was I supposed to know??
Cheryl: She hit on you and Archie at the same time
Toni: The only guys she dates are himbos.
Veronica: I LITERALLY KISSED YOU
Betty: ...just gal pal things
Riverdale's Veronica Lodge
Remember a few years back when there was all these posts about how (name ur female character of choice) eyeliner game was so sharp she could kill a man? I feel like Veronica is that concept made into flesh.
And there's a lot to criticize about this form of... feminism. It's pretty shallow. It's hardly inclusive. And maybe violence shouldn't be something that's celebrated.
But I do think that it caught on for a reason. I suspect it was a vital part of a lot of people's feminist development. There is real catharsis in this image. Women are often victimized so seeing a character unflinchingly doing the victimizing is a fantasy that has a lot of appeal.
And Veronica just really embodies this. It's hard for me to say she's a feminist character, per say. Riverdale's track record on social issues is, most charitably described, is 'well, you tried. And that's not nothing!'
But, beyond that? Marginalized people deserve to have fantasy fulfillment characters. I don't see how Veronica is all that different than White Guy #23423 who is special and chosen for whatever reason. Talk however much you want about how tired and problematic these white guy characters are, but there's still a market for these type of characters and they keep being made.
So, y'know, let the girls have her.
Good socially conscious stories are great. Nuanced depictions and exploration of feminist is fantastic. But there's a place for bluntness that I think that Veronica beautifully embodies.
No it's not great that she roofied Nick and blackmailed his family for a million dollars. I wish there had been more focus on how Veronica was dealing with a former friend trying to rape her and her friend and who likely has been drugging women around her while they were friends. This isn't how trauma works. But it's a delightful fantasy, much like, say, Tony Stark is an awesome fantasy. There's value, there.
And there's a lot they did right with Veronica. Riverdale makes sure to solidify Veronica and Betty's friendship before they develop Archie/Veronica beyond mutual attraction. And I've been impressed that. so far, Veronica and Betty's friendship has been a huge focus in the narrative. The big emotional moments for Betty and Veronica in the musical episode was between the two of them. Betty puts aside her anger and forgives Veronica because, as Archie pointed out, Veronica did the same exact thing for Betty.
And that's just such a great aspect of Veronica's character. She really cares about her female friends. She goes out of their way to prioritize them, especially in ways that women are victimized because of their gender. It's just nice to see that her cause in her own personal redemption is tied to doing things like running after the Mean Girl who has a breakdown after realizing her twin brother is actually dead.
She's just a great character to watch and I love her so much.
