Finished this proxy of Veyran! I may tweak the fram further later but overall I'm pretty happy with it

Wondering about how Magus Lucea Kane and Veyran, Voice of Duality interact. Kane's mana ability creates a delayed triggered ability that triggers when you next cast a spell with X in its cost (or an ability, but that's aside from the question). Does this count as a "triggered ability of a permanent you control"? Will Veyran's ability cause it to trigger twice?

Sadly no.

As you correctly stated, Kane's mana ability creates a delayed trigger that waits for the next X-costed spell or ability you cast/activate.

Now read that back. The source of the the trigger is the mana ability, not Kane herself. There's no such thing as a source's source in Magic, so Veyran sees a trigger caused by an activated ability, not a trigger caused by a permanent and ignores it.

Can you tell us some trivia about Veyran?

Veyran is the youngest of their siblings by a couple hundred years, and has never had a significant other. Th'delians tend to reach mental maturity before sexual maturity and Veyran only just ( in the last 10 years) reached sexual maturity. So committing to a match was/is a pretty big deal.

While they admire larger mates, as many Th'delians do, Veyran has never taken any initiative to follow any feeder role. Until recently.

honestly not that I can think of.

Meanwhile, Veyran (of Neon) will probably better develop their feeder tendency after a while.
