Inspiration from Chauvenism

My time at Valley Forge Military Academy and College was expected to be one of great exploration and awe; however, it was much the opposite. Instead, working for the summer program proved to be an immersion into a misogynistic, sexist, discriminatory, and backward thinking hyper-masculine environment where the arts are considered the ultimate offense to any form of leadership and masculinity.  My colleagues spewed hate, racism, sexism, classism, nativism, and all isms possible to the oppressed targeted towards myself, my employer, and my students.  An extremely inappropriate atmosphere that I vowed to make change.  

I taught students that leadership is about innovation, creativity, communication, and perspective.  Countered my colleague would teach the 4 pillars of leadership to be....leadership, management, control, and command. The era of command and control are over.  My designed Applied and Participatory Leadership program, a pseudonym for theatre, proved that while theatre is associated with weakness, when applied under different pretense it is accepted and works. This blog will prove that theatre is in fact not weak, but encompasses the strength of those who are dedicated to it.
