Shout out to @lavenderlatte222 because her originally noticing the changes to the way the Demo enters the Byer's home in Ep 8 made me go on a search for other alterations to Demogorgans specifically in the VHS Edition and uh, yeah they did!

Notice how this shot from the VHS edition is blurry a bit on the demo's face? that's because they, for some reason, cut this clip short and quickly switch to Mike's reaction.

But in the original version, the camera lingers on the demo longer enough to get a full look without a blurry cut away:

Actually, it was long enough I was able to take a 2nd screenshot this time and the Demo actually tilts its head a little in the original before they cut to mike???

Also notice how the lighting is different in the original, because this version is longer, the lighting that flashes on the Demo happens earlier before the it opens it's mouth as opposed to how it does in the VHS Edition.

In both the standard original and VHS editions, in EP 1 Will's front house has no number, then in Ep 8 it magically does:

I am kind of laughing at how much darker the VHS edition is because look at these screenshots of the same exact frame in each version:

Everyone, imagine if they are actually releasing "Brenner's Tapes" each month and they show how wildly altered the events of S5 are and then we get to this scene:

And it gets to this part where people on twitter noticed that Mike is seemingly leaning in and inching more and more into the frame towards Will:

And it turns out that he was inching forward because he was cautiously going in to give Will a kiss and the chest shove Will does never actually happened because he was too busy kissing Mike back lol.

What i find kind of interesting about them releasing the VHS tapes edition of S1 is that it kind of shows that they can/will just kinda drop content without notice? Cause they definitely never advertised that they were releasing something at all. It makes me wonder if this is also a hint that they could do it again.

Idk legally how that works. but if they were to do what the current circulated theory is, that the seasons are altered and the VHS tape versions (if there are actually more) will show us the truth (sorry i have no idea who to credit for this theory I missed a lot today lol) then it’s possible they may be able to go down this route without legal issue since it’s all technically a part of already released seasons.
