Rediscovered the song ‘Iko Iko’ through one of the many booze comercials that have been playing... now all I need to do is figure out why the hell the song resonates with me so much. Like it feels like I heard it a bunch of times as a kid.
My best guess was this particular comercial on a VHS tape ...I don’t remember which one, I feel like it was a disney product but it could’ve not been, and part of the reason I don’t remember what it was was tha comercial was more teaser then trailer and didn’t seem like it was very clear about what it was advertising. It was just this mish-mash of live action and animation... and it was a party in the jungle, and there was a hot air balloon and it proclaimed something like: ‘the party is coming your way, make sure you don’t miss it!’
...and I never heard about it again. (If anyone knows what I’m talking about I’m all ears)
You know there’s this movie about this dude whose family is killed by evil rednecks and he becomes a vigilante only instead of a gun he builds a giant badass monster-truck to run over all the bad guys?

Opening and end to a Family Home Entertainment VHS circa 1993. I can’t tell you the weird nostalgic feelings this music gave me.
