the concept of maomao working at a flower shop im emotional i just love her sm (ik flower shop au’s are So Cliche but it FITS HER)

i really enjoy maomao as a protagonist and all of her pov’s because it truly is a matter of “maomao thinks she feels xyz” and then you read a bit more and you’re like “oh so actually none of that is true” lol

jinshi’s confession scene was just so weighted to me bc even though he knows it essentially alters their dynamic significantly he still wouldn’t ever subject maomao to a life of being a consort bc that is quite literally everything she would hate and him telling her exactly that knows he understands the complexity of where they currently stand
