It is made of a single leaf arch that spans the Seine in a great curve, although it is lowered so as not to obstruct the view of the Champs-Elysées or les Invalides.

Embellished by several generations of architects, sculptors, decorators and landscape architects, it provided Europe with a model of the ideal royal residence for over a century.

Suzette - Italian - “Le donne, come i sogni, non sono mai come tu le vorresti” - “Women, like dreams, are never so what you want to see them” - The Avenue des Champs-Elysées is probably the most famous avenue in the world. The lastest redesign of the prestigious avenue was done in 1994 by Bernard Huet. The side lanes were converted into pedestrian zones, an underground parking lot was created and new trees were planted.
