When you've been infected by something and have been trying your best to hide it, but your classmates are starting to get a bit suspicious after you accidentally killed someone.

So how did Vice and the others avoid dying and witnessing some of the stuff that happened in the bunker?

In the events that happened prior to Episode 1, Vice and Petunia were lucky enough to safely make it inside of the bunker before the Disassembly Drones got to them. Yuna was not as lucky, but she did manage to survive her attack by playing dead when her attacker got distracted with another Drone. From there, she was able to crawl away and into safety (although the attack ended up infecting her with the Solver).

None of the three were present during the events of Episode 1; they were all deeper inside the bunker and missed out on all the fun. They did hear about what happened later on, but obviously didn't get to witness anything.

For Episode 2, the three were in class and missed out again. Vice did manage to catch sight of the weird thing at the door, but the other two didn't.

For Episode 3, they were all set to go to prom together as a group of friends. Vice showed up a bit early while the other two were lagging behind a bit. Unfortunately, that also means he witnessed what Doll did during prom, but since Petunia and Yuna were late, they missed out.

Episode 4, they obviously went to camp with everyone else. Not much eventful happened on their end. None of the three were involved during Uzi's breakdown and subsequent slaughter, but Vice and Yuna did unfortunately get to witness what happened to the arrow (Petunia wasn't looking so she missed it).

They weren't present for the events of Episodes 5 and 6, as well as most of 7. They were probably doing their own things in the bunker, likely now graduated.

For 7, Vice overheard Khan's plans, specifically the comment about the planet about to consume everyone, and went "oh fuck". He then decided that he needed to find a way off the planet in order to protect his sister. He saw first-hand what the Solver is capable of and knows there's no way he can fight it, so escape is his priority. That plotline is still being somewhat developed, but currently (as of the end of Episode 7), he's working with Petunia and Yuna to locate one of the landing pods and try to figure out how to escape on it.

Obviously, no one knows what's going to happen in Episode 8 yet, but that'll get updated once that's out. The current plotline plans say that the planet is going to game end itself, but all of the important people manage to leave before it happens. I'll probably have to make some changes once that episode is actually out, but we'll see.

But yeah! It basically just boils down to the three having extremely dumb luck. That and plot armor are the only things that are keeping them safe and alive out there.

23/34: Vice

Vice is one of the many Worker Drones living in the colony behind the protective doors. Much like many of the other drones inside of the colony, he attends school along with his sister. He's been unfortunate enough to witness several of the horrors involving the colony's drone population, but he's been lucky enough to not be involved too deeply with them.
