She found them and restored their memories after Voldemort was defeated, according to JKR on this web chat:

... and there's no reason she wouldn't have in TLW's timeline because it was before the bad stuff started happening. (I always assumed she'd restore them, but this is the first time I've seen official confirmation. Did wonder if it was just a very popular fanon.)
