First of all...
Some of my fellow weavers and printers from my course!
Firstly, our prize winner from New Designers, Tara Osborough! Tara focuses on the colours of the Irish countryside, and the high quality British wool she is committed to using, and this makes her woven samples feel rich and inviting to touch.

Claudia Brown's work got a lot of attention at New Designers. Her printed silk scarves are such attractive colours, and this was heightened when they were pinned against a bright white background. The vivid colours seem to blend into each other perfectly, and remind me of the colours of a stunning sunset, mingled with the bright hues from corals and tropical fish you'd find under the sea.

The woven fabric samples on display by Vicky Taylor at New Designers were clearly of a high quality and well thought out colour scheme; to me, the colours feel calming yet bold, and I think that in an interior setting they would add some sophisticated interest to a neutral background.
