There are many questions he has regarding her, regarding them. They were together, an item, something that was more than two bored filthy rich socialites getting together because it was ‘fun’ or a business deal. That’s something he can’t possibly deny being curious about and wanting to know more about because unlike Betsy he is unfamiliar with it all. For he feels he isn’t the same person as he once was. Be it amnesia, or not, Warren recalls none of it. To this very day, he is unsure why they’d met under those conditions those months or years (has it been so long?) ago (he’s unsure, time slips away as he attempts to find a place, his place, among the school and X-Men).
However, he’s come to realize that she’s been avoiding him. She seems to never take place in a meeting he’s most certain she’d be present at, mostly due to her position as a…teacher, was it? X-Men, certainly. Could she be angered due to his lack of memories? Or possibly upset by the notion? Could that be the issue from having emerged from the storm? That he simply asked the question because he honestly lacked any memories, let alone of her -- of them.
After a great deal of time since their first (last) encounter, Warren finally finds himself face to face with her again. Understanding that it’s only because she was willing to be caught by him. “Betsy,” he called out. There was no sadness in his tone, for there were no emotional connection to her that he’d been aware of besides the understanding he should be connected with her. Even after all this time. He has no recollection of his life before; with the school, it’s faculty and students, let alone his former partner and lover. “It’s been some time.”
