- mason is originally from naples , italy , but moved to victoria when he was just a few months old . this is due to his father successfully landing a h-1b visa at a well known IT business . throughout his childhood mason lived with both of his parents , his siblings and his grandmother until he was sixteen .
- it was no secret that the marriage between his parents was unstable , constant fighting - would not only lead his mother to become an alcoholic but also to having an affair with benito mancini . soon after , she would become pregnant and give birth to his first half brother , rocco mancini . a divorce would be filed , and his mother rosaline would marry benito shortly after . two years later she’d give birth to another son .
- with his mother leaving at the age of 6 to be with another man , mason was left alone with his father . while mason missed his mother , he felt as if she preferred his younger siblings over himself . perhaps it had to do with how similar the younger boy looked to his father ??
- overtime he’d see the loving figure of his father morph into a monster . the heartbreak of losing his wife , mixed with the feeling of guilt , would soon lead to substance abuse . what would start with a one or two lines of coke a week , would turn his father into an addict .
- at the age of fifteen , mason would lose his father . a bullet between his brows would be the indication of a murder . it was no secret that giovanni giordano had spent all his fortune in drugs . the death of his father would be what would push mason’s mother over the edge . continuously questioning why she never took mason in with her , and what he had to endure as a kid would be what caused her alcoholism to worsen . she’d soon be in and out of rehab .
- shortly after the murder of his father , mason’s nan would win custody over him . he would be given a choice , to live with his nan or his mother , but a part of him refused to live with his stepfather and siblings .

meet angelo ! more commonly known as angel by his late mother and those in his super inner circle. youngest of the mancini clan, and now 1/2 of the remaining duo, he’s dropped out of college to keep a close eye on rocco and the family estate in general.
i’ll put more about his past in his biography, since i’d ideally wanna’ iron all the details first, but he was a massive momma’s boy and always has been despite her problems. all you really need to know for plotting is that he’s been in victoria his entire life, except –––
from when he went to college last year !!! wow ! smart boy. angelo actually got accepted into MIT to study biomedical engineering, and for the year or so he was able to attend, he was incredibly passionate. he hated being away from his mom at the time, but he never let it show, as he did with most things.
when she died in late 2018, after only a few months of angelo being enrolled, he was a mess behind closed doors. he found it hard to cope, and even harder to come to terms with the fact he hadn’t been there for her in her final moments, even if it was self-caused. however, not knowing his father’s own mental state, angelo chose to stay in massachusetts, planning to come home for the funeral and that alone.
the news of his father’s suicide came not long after, though angelo’s reaction to that was far less visceral. he chose to come home only for a week, to see how his brother was and to attend funerals and events, mind falling straight into business mode and making sure to give his brother a long list of things he needed to keep an eye on. angelo had faith that rocco would handle things for the next two years whilst he graduated. things fell apart quick.
he continued to attend MIT for as long as he could, but news of rocco’s lifestyle and attitude always slinked its way down the grapevine to angelo, the nineteen year old boy at the university of his dreams. for him, a loyal mancini til’ the grave and a child who’d lost his mother, the choice to drop out of university wasn’t difficult. he left at the end of his first year, at the end of june, and has been home ever since. the staff tried to stop him, his circle of friends tried to stop him, but the choice had been made. he was going back to victoria.
does he resent his brother for what he’s had to do? not at all, he could never resent his best friend, but angelo would be lying if he said victoria was where he wanted to be. he’s now working closely with the current family accountant, being alongside him so he can keep the closest eye possible on the family finances and know what kind of deals and discussions he can afford possible business partners. it’s not surprising most turn their noses up at a nineteen year old trying to make business deals, but most are thrown onto their asses when he speaks.
PERSONALITY –––
angel is... kinda difficult? but also compared to his brother, he’s super easy to deal with. he’s a bit icy, but he doesn’t do it to ‘keep people away’ or anything like that, it’s just his natural demeanour, and he always appreciates people who aren’t bothered by his cool attitude at first and are willing to forge a friendship with him of some kind, though his persona in general naturally rubs people the wrong way.
he’s incredibly calm, and there’s very little that can be said or done to provoke any kind of reaction related to anger out of him.
he doesn’t like failure, but he is of the mindset that it makes you better as a person. however he despises people who let their failures or traumas affect them massively as people, so much so to the point where it affects their success. that’s one thing angelo has inherited from his father, his drive. his greed for succeeding. money isn’t the goal here, power is.
he’s practically a prodigy. his intelligence is off the scale and whilst 50% of that is natural ability, the other 50% is his own hard work and diligence. he’s not afraid to let you know how smart he is, nor will he accept anyone trying to tell him he’s only where he is because of his family. he seriously works his ass off, so much so you’d forget his family’s already wealthy and think he’s gone some kind of debt to pay off. angel’s always working on something, always scribbling away some kind of idea in his notebooks or planning something.

no matter how hard he tried, his grades were average, absolutely no chance with sports, and he lacked the energy to get involved with any other extra curricular activity. he always lost touch with the few friends he had over summer and would start the year relatively alone again.
all of this was okay because he had his family but then the cracks began to show
kosta loves deeply and feels everything intensely so the absence of those he cherishes was painful for him. from bash’s rebellion to their parents falling out of love and eventually what felt like losing a father entirely. kosta could only do so much but, as always, when things got too much he took a step back
he left victoria to study art in new york city. whilst he usually had his family to depend on, he found other ways to get by without relying on other people. drugs were more reliable, made him feel better faster and there was so much of it. this resulted in kosta cutting ties with most people in his life
unfortunately, his addiction lead him to drop out of college and instead of facing the music back in victoria, he left to go travelling for as long as he could before being dragged back to victoria
he tried a few jobs here and there but they were draining his mental health. he’d sleep in or stare at the office building before turning back around. with every failure, he felt like such a big disappointment, he’d leave every few months or so just to come back to start in the same place all over again.
but this time kosta doesn’t want to keep running away from his problems. he hates disappointing people, especially his family. he’s decided to take things one step at a time. first, success. then, sobriety.
having returned a month ago, he’s got a small studio which he basically lives in. the only problem is he hasn’t been able to produce a single piece he’s happy with and most of the time he’s too high to do anything about it. the violence that fuels the city certainly doesn’t help with his anxiety either. his goal is to open his first exhibition, knowing it’d make his parents proud.

AT NINETEEN - he found a home in victoria, florida. his mother’s hometown. his studies never truly panned out like they should have, wasting a year majoring in theology before officially throwing in the towel and returning to music full time. the next few years were spent building up a resume. odd jobs that barely paid the bills. things only began to turn up when he began landing jobs as the backing vocals for groups. it had started small, not much money in it nor recognition --- but he slowly climbed the ladder. an undeniable talent. in time he landed a job as the backup vocals for a band famous enough to earn him some status. the band embarked on a small tour around the states, and while it had been fun, illya quickly came to realize it wasn’t the life for him. in actuality it was not the spotlight he desired, no, he’d come to miss the little things about his passion. the smaller cafes and venues often led to tighter bonds. a more humbling experience that allowed him to truly connect with his audience. like the days back home, under god’s watchful eye.
TWENTY TWO - and life as he knows it ends. for better or for worse. a flame in his life plants the idea in his head. the bills were starting to pile up again and desperation seemed to be a constant state. PLAYERS. it’s no place he’d normally be found. the sort of joint he’d sooner cross the street to avoid. but his lover promises security. stability. burdened with a touch of naivety, he’s sold.

essentially illya was born in ukraine. his family was super religious and he spent a lot of time in church, also due to the fact his father was the music director there. he obviously had a natural talent in the choir and his family helped him pursue music by getting him lessons and stuff. he does a good handful of cool stuff in ukraine and decides he wants to study in america ( where his mother and her family are from ) and also sees it as an opportunity to grow musically. obviously the scene in america is pretty hard to get into, so he still does small cafe like things until he starts doing backing tracks/vocals for bands. starts off really small but he starts to work for bigger bands/companies until eventually, he gets enough recognition to go on tour with a well-enough known band. don’t imagine them to be super famous, but enough to have a handful of radio hits.

someone who is suspicious of his doubts ; obviously he’s trying to play his cards pretty close to his chest and doesn’t voice his concerns to anyone. but i’d love to see some people who question his hesitance or might be on to him having doubts about continuing to be in the gang. he’s not going to own up to any accusations but this could add some interesting tension and make for interesting interactions.

alright, i’m going to link lorena’s intro because she did a great job at it and they basically have the same background and do a run down here..
luna and her twin were born november 11th in bilbao, spain.
they didn’t have the easiest childhood, loosing their mother at 3 years old being left with a father who because of his addictions left them financially challenged.
at age 5 her father had lost custody of both girls and they when to live with their aunt, basically the only motherly figure she ever had.
her aunt didn’t have the most healthy love life, she never had a stable relationship and that molded luna’s idea of love, she didn’t really believe in it.
that was one of the things she learned from her aunt another was the hatred for her father and the blame on her mother’s life, she thought he was idiot for being caught that easily, for loosing all their money and letting their mother die.
luna is a extremely intelligent, she always had the highest scores through high school and when she graduated she moved to madrid, like her sister, to attend college. she always had a dream to going into health care, so she started her pre-med studies.
in the middle of college luna wanted to make money, she took a different path from her sister, though she also had considered becoming a sugar baby, she chose drug dealing. she wanted to prove herself, that she was better than her father.
in all the time she dealed she never used any of the drugs, she wanted to feel in control and be better and didn’t want to toy with the addiction that could drive her business to the ground.
she is cunning and calculating and she makes sure everything in her life is going according to her plan.
luna had many failed relationships, if you could call it that, with both men and women. the longest one being with a married woman, that took her to all around europe telling her husband they were just friends and she wanted to teach the young girl about the world.
she was torn when her sister asked her to go to the states with her, she was still on the middle of her course but to her family, most of all her sister, means everything to her so she decided to drop what she had in spain and go with sol, they had enough money and they cherished.
luna always wanted to have that power that came with the money and she finally had it.
moving to victoria, they opened their store and moved into the west side. the crimes that keep happening on the town are a little amusing to her.
