a look at the hayward house
November 20, 1876
It had only been a short while after Floras birth that Ellis’ parents decided he and Margaret needed a new place to call home. Their original home was more designed to be the couples small cottage, with all bedrooms not belonging to the couple being extraordinarily small. Ellis and Margaret went along with the elder Mr. and Ms.Hayward’s wished in regards to their home.
When it came that to the penultimate of 1876 and there was still no new home that’d been completely finished, Ellis’ parents still decided the couple would need another home to live in. Margaret had fallen pregnant yet again and their current home simply would not house them in a way that Ellis’ parents deemed comfortable. So, by November 20, Margaret, Ellis, Flora, and Winnifred all moved into a former house that belonged to Ellis’ parents.
It had been significantly larger than the couples former home. Whilst their old house only contained an entry, living room, dining room, office, kitchen, bathroom, the master bedroom, and three other smaller bedrooms, this one had much more. Their was a kitchen the size of their old house, a very formal living and dining space, an office for Ellis, many bathrooms, as well as a room for Ellis and Margaret, a nursery, two large empty rooms, and one room that had belonged to Ellis’ sister as a child that’d been left the same since.
Overall, the home was nicer. Very much a temporary fix as their true home would not be ready for them until Spring 1877, but still it was nice to have the family in a bigger space.
I’m not much of a builder in The Sims but among many other things I’ve started to do with my time in Quarantine (and because I got a brand spankin’ new laptop that’s very nice) I decided to try and build one for a 7 Spellcaster coven because nothing on the Gallery or that I could find on Tumblr was giving me the vibe.
So I built this beauty that I’m super happy with in Windenberg on the 64x64 lot. I finished it but I don’t have a screenshot of it done and I still want to tweak some things with the landscaping. I wanted it to be the creepy Victorian house in the woods kind of vibe and I think I achieved that. I also added a greenhouse for my Green Thumb Spellcaster.
A start for the formal dining room. Will continue tomorrow, feeling a little icky today.
