Back in 2012, I spent my Very First Paycheck on an original copy of Enchant. 3 digits! It was the tail end of peak market value for EA merch, and everything has been going down steadily ever since. It was THE. WORST. INVESTMENT! But then I remember my heart pounding when I opened it and checked the serial number. The weeks I spent working on the puzzle. So much joy from one silly early '00s jewelcase, when I was otherwise so sad... The memory of that joy is worth so much more than $. No regrets.

Remember when she used to shit on modern art for being meaningless/ “a five year old could do it… now look who’s glueing hospital bracelets to a white canvas and demanding $$$$

You do understand that she was committed in a mental ward so she was obviously having a mental breakdown right? Can't you see that's the point of that part in her book? To show how ugly it will get? I've been close to someone who was diagnosed with bipolar 2 and she had exactly the same behaviors and entitlement. Truth be told we are not friends anymore.

As a small indie artist, this fanbase scares me so much. I don’t understand why people who say that they don’t like her anymore continue to check her regularly and pick up apart every little thing about her. There’s clearly something wrong when you say you like(d) somebody’s work but acuse them of copying other artists in the same breath. Makes me think I will never let my art see the light of day otherwise the fanbase would do the same to me.

I’d never really interacted with the EA fandom until this blog, despite being a fan of her music since around 2012. It’s really disheartening to see how mean-spirited and judgemental a lot of the fan base are, EA is far from perfect and has done a lot of dodgy stuff, but some of the messages this blog gets just seem downright unkind. So many people seem to think having a personality disorder is the only explanation for her being a not-great person, when in reality there is no prerequisite for selfish acts. It’s just ableism repackaged, which is the last thing I’d expected from the fan base of an artist who speaks so openly about mental illness

Despite all the shitty things she’s done I am so proud of Emilie. She endured unfathomable cruelty and trauma yet she created beautiful art and gave a voice to mentally ill women like me. She is in a happy relationship and is making her dreams come true. I truly wish her all the best.

I’d buy a coffee table book of all her photo shoots in a heartbeat.

Contessa looks like she’s doing great. I’m glad to see she’s still friends with and living next to Veronica (who also seems to be doing great).
