PT (Patrol) Boats Of World War II This video is divided into four parts: The first part is a narrated training film produced by the Navy during the war. Titled "The PTs: Their Place In The Navy," the film presents an overview of the boat and the specific duties of the crewmen. The film provides excellent details of the boat's interior: engine compartment, torpedos, navigation, etc. The second part of the video documents training off the coast of New Orleans, LA in 1944; while the third part of the video details PT operations in New Guinea in 1943. Please note, there is no narration in the second and third parts of the video. These parts contain a music soundtrack with captions. The last part is narrated and titled "Devil Boats," and details the specialized training PT Boat sailors went through during the war.
