In the episode of what we do in the shadows titled“brain scramblies” we see Colin Robinson speaking about video interpolation and I would like to take this opportunity to speak about it and how to turn it off.
Video interpolation , more commonly known as motion smoothing, is a feature on most tvs or projectors that is mainly made for sports. The only flaw is that most new tvs come with it automatically on. If you regularly watch movies/tv shows, this can be an extreme annoyance. Motion smoothing creates frames between already existing frames making the frame rate higher; this is good when watching sports but makes professional films feel like city tv soap operas.
To turn this off go follow these steps: (names of commands vary)
If you like chaos, turn it on when you have guests over and watch them grow extremely confused.
