i am absolutely SPEEDRUNNING this new video idea. it's not the pmv im supposed to be working on but it sure is a video!! although i might keep it in reserve after it's done, that way i have something i can post if the new pmv takes me a really long time to finish.... but idk if i'll have the willpower for that. i'll probably be too excited and post it right away lol

Do you have a family tree of these characters?

Not at the moment! I'm trying to avoid making one because I don't wanna deal with having certain characters being related and then having to incorporate that into their characters and storytelling. but man. when you've got a brain that Needs Everything To Make Logical Sense it's difficult to avoid lol

like, right now, as far as the story goes, Hawkpaw and Puddlepaw just spawned out of thin air. Idk who their parents are!!! and they aren't siblings so that means there's 2 whole sets of parents missing! Also, Whitepaw's mom must have either gone on a trip of sorts or just straight up died recently, cause she's not been in any videos! I guess you could make the case that she's always conveniently off-screen though haha

I recently did a poll on my patreon to decide the next video I would work on, and they voted for a Larkstar PMV that features the [unspecified disaster]. So that will be happening sooner than expected!! The downside is that I am now Thinking about lineages and ancestors who would have needed to survive the disaster in order to have the clan as it is in current day.

SO my big takeaway here is that i am fighting tooth and nail to avoid a family tree but am slowly being dragged into it by my own need for Internal Consistency Of The Universe

big news—I finally decided what the [unspecified disaster] was. the REAL question is if I should tell you guys what it is, or if it should wait for a future video (which I already have plans for, but I also have plans for a LOT of future videos so idk when I'll start working on it lol). SO should I disclose the disaster now, or leave it as a surprise?

Have you listened to The Oh Hellos? Because A LOT of their songs are about overcoming abuse, and even if it doesn't fit the criteria of what you want and/or need for a Mudpaw animatic, it's still a really good listen!

oh i LOVE The Oh Hellos!!! I haven't listened to all their songs but I've listened to a lot of them, and they are SO good and meaningful

I've definitely considered using a few of their songs for animatics, but I don't have any solid plans just yet. Although... Constellations is one of my favorites of their songs, and I've been trying to figure out a way I could use it for a video... not sure just yet but I am. Thinking.
