Hi all! 🌈 Thank you so much for your patience, I’ve tried to get back to everybody as much as I could while on the road!

I was on an amazing media team that spent the first week of Pride Month covering AidsLifecycle - a fundraiser for HIV & AIDs research & resources. Though it was a ton of work for us to shoot & edit videos to show to cyclists the same day (for 7 days straight!), it was an absolute blast and the energy was so full of love. 💜 And of course, I spread the good word of asexuality to everyone I met haha!

Dear Gus & Magnus,

Last time I was in Denver, I pitched the idea of filming a super-short documentary that showcased the reigning Division I champion (Elevated Ops) of the WEFTEC Ops Challenge and Division II champion (Sewerside Squad), who will move up to compete in Division I this year. I think of it as the kind of videos sports networks show when they give background on a player/team. The story behind the game. Except in this case, it's the story behind the water/wastewater treatment operators who are competing against each other in five events, from laboratory stuff to cutting pipe. I'm excited about it.

Meanwhile, Gus woke up to $5 that the tooth fairy left him.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

The Video Team and I spent the day making a promotional video for an event we have in our Ridgeland office. The event is called the Garver Rib & Roll, but I wrote a script in which an employee thinks it's called the Garver Ribbon Roll, and of course, shenanigans ensue. It's going to be a good video, but filming took way longer than I had hoped it would, and we accidently broke a $1,400 video monitor, which made the process a little more difficult. We got back to little rock after midnight, making for a really long day.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

This morning I left the house around 5:45 to head to the airport. Gus was already up and dress and on his second episode of How to Train Your Dragon when I got downstairs. I flew to Dallas to meet up with Bryan and Brandon in Frisco to work on a few different video shoots, then we hit the road for home, stopping in Mount Pleasant to eat dinner at Nardello's. They dropped me at the airport on our way into town and I came home to a sleeping house at 11pm. It was a long day. I'm glad to be home the rest of the week.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

We had a 12-hour shoot today for a script I wrote of a cooking show spoof. I spent most of the day trying not to eat the pastries on set. It was a long day, but I think it's going to be a solid video. I can't wait to see what it looks like on screen. Driving home tomorrow.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

Every time we set up for a video shoot, I stand-in while Bryan lights things how he wants, then he takes a picture of what the frame will be to show me. I try to come up with a new face to make him laugh every time I know he's taking the picture.

You two and Mom have gone to stay at Nene's house for a couple of days while I'm out of town.

Dear Gus & Baby #2,

Interviews in Frisco this morning, then at the Upper Trinity River Water District this afternoon. As soon as we got packed up, we hit the road for home. In one of my life's greatest mistakes, after stopping for gas in Prescott, Arkansas, I got back on the interstate going the wrong direction and drove 80+mph for about 25 minutes before realizing it. We should have gotten home around just after 11pm, but instead we made it home at midnight. My efficiency meter nearly exploded. It's been a long week, and it's only Wednesday.

Dear Gus & Baby #2,

After I dropped Gus at school today, I picked up Mary and we met Bryan in Rogers to shoot a few videos. When we finished, we turned around and came home.

Yiayia picked Gus up from school and will get him to school tomorrow morning, which was incredibly nice. Not that we don't enjoy our time with Gus, but non-stop parenting is hard. Breaks keep us sane.
