It's the little things that make my life that much more manageable and a bit less cluttered. I have a lot of #lenses... some might say... too many. But when pulling them for a project or doing a quick visual inventory, my current set up wasn't working. Built some #DIY shelves into this existing IKEA cubby hole shelving unit I have. I store my most used photo and video gear on it so it's stuff I pull often. #NewGearAlert! Some of that New New arrived today from @bhphoto. Excited for this rig because it is a piece is pro style gear I've been looking to buy for a long while and finally found an indie priced version that I can use for an upcoming project I'm #DP for. Traveled to the LA @NikonUSA Service and Repair Center and dropped off two of my #Nikkor lenses today. Hoping to get them back within a week or two so I can use them on an upcoming shoot for BTS. Happy with the service and for the opportunity to walk in and talk shop with reps at this location. They always treat me right when I come through and they handle business well. I know I said I was done ordering new lenses but this was on sale. Don't look at me like that 😕, it was 50% off so how could I resist?!? For real though, now I'm done for a long while I promise... unless a 50mm f/1.2 goes on sale, or a 85 f/1.4, those two are my -effing unicorns. I received a much awaited package today from @KEHCamera, my preferred retailer to buy used lenses from. They get so much of my business because they have a very reliable, accurate and honest grading system for what condition the gear is in; the U.I. for searches using specific criteria is very user friendly; and I've found amazing deals on hard to find glass and hidden jems no one is looking at or knows about. If you didn't already know about KEH Camera I'm only telling you now because I think my lens kit is complete so I'm gonna calm down a bit on my purchasing. I've got pretty much everything I need or want... I think... maybe ;-) Reviews of all my lenses coming this summer and throughout the fall!
