Not Full Circle, Rather Infinite Loop
Change is ever present, 2013 has been a year that would appear drastic and simultaneously inspiring. Earlier this year we said goodbye to Enlou, and while it may have been a slow realization of the bands end, more importantly it was closure. Pomegranates and Enlou were a huge staple in the Cincinnati music, often sharing (sometimes quite literally) the stage together the better side of 3 years ago. No matter how similar these bands were they were always strikingly different in the way they crafted music.
We started this blog because we love music, the people who make it and have the courage to perform it, and two years ago we started with Pomegranates. In a world of instant gratification and cheapened nostalgia we wanted to make something as they did, something true to our love no matter how ill fitting it appeared in the world of endless reblogging and unoriginal content.
I felt I had to give back to this band for all 20+ incredible performances I had seen, never knowing this day would come. Correction, never thinking this day would come. However, as I said before this era's close is inspiring and not so much a time of morning. I eager await what these fine gentlemen create in the future and the art they've inspired from the surrounding music scene.
Nothing but love for these men, what they create, and everything they for which they stand.
Infinite Love, Sam & Andrew
