Cap’n Crunch cereal box with Atari promotion. Sugary cereals and video games were the sultry sirens of my childhood...and my adulthood now that I think about it.
Also, I applaud the Cap’n’s skill to be able to do that good at Space Invaders without even looking at the screen.
Surely I wasn’t the only one who played Street Fighter II for the SNES and thought this was what they were saying. Made it especially confusing when Ken himself said it.
Marvel VS Capcom, the first game I owned for the Sega Dreamcast. Lots of wonderful late-night memories with freinds tied to this system and this title.

We all just kinda went with the “pogo cane” concept when we were kids, didn’t we? Still one of the best games of the 8-bit era. The remastered version was fantastic too!
The Sega Nomad wasn’t exactly a thing of beauty but it was great to actually play Genesis games on the go which was REALLY novel in 1995. It’s too bad the thing gobbled batteries like Sonic on chili dogs.
Lunar The Silver Star (Sega CD, 1992)
I really miss this title; a vastly underrated JRPG and one of my first exposures to the “anime” style in video games.
How many hours did the Russians steal away from us? Not nearly enough, I say!
