I would highly recommend those of my followers who enjoyed the combat mechanics of BG3 and would like to see more of that to try Divinity: Original Sin 2 by the same developer.

BG3 wasn't Larian's first crpg with a highly interactive environment and, because Divinity: Original Sin 2 is not an adaption of any particular ttrpg's ruleset, stuff can get even crazier, because the abilities at your disposal were designed to be exploitable. E. g. most abilities leave the ground coated in stuff that you can then use different abilities on to try and turn something harmful into something helpful and vice versa (e.g. put ice on the ground to make enemies slip and fall, only for the enemy to turn the ice into water that you can then turn into blessed water that heals you), barrelmancy is even more of a thing in this game, then there's the stuff you can do with telekinesis, cursed fire everywhere... you're going to love it!

Plus, you're not limited to X actions + X bonus actions + X movement per turn. Instead, everything you can do in a turn draws from the same resource pool, making gameplay more flexible. If you enjoy BG3 in Tactician mode, you'll love this as well.

Also, crafting options in that game are extensive. If you can think of it, you can probably craft it. Combine your shoes with nails to not slip on icy surfaces. If you pick up a hammer and a tomato, you can craft tomato sauce and if you add flour and water and optionally an egg, you can craft a pizza.

I saw so many people in the Omori fandom complaining that Sweetheart's fight was super hard, but I managed to beat her in one try, only using jam packets once. I think I accidentally over-leveled myself through visiting Orange Oasis too early in the game lmaooo (Dino's Dig? A nightmare). Either way though, the ending wedding cutscene fucking killed me.
