“And suddenly, as if her head had cleared, she was quite sure that wonderful things did indeed exist. Even if they’re only in my own mind, she thought, they’re there and worth fighting for. I mustn’t give in.”

After my latest reread of Hexwood, I realized I've completely missed the signature's camel-hair cloak of Mordion and Vierran's blue eyes. So I've corrected them on my old fan art.
"Please, your story, or I shall offend the dignitaries of my kingdom by yawning at holy things."

“Ann left him there, kneeling among the violets looking out into the fog as if that glimpse of the castle had somehow broken his heart.”

Edit; I'm so crazy about them! Their history, their connection, their everything. DWJ wrote them so good.
Edit after latest reread, gosh how could I’ve missed the camel hair colored coat and Vierran’s eyes being blue?
Hexwood main characters doodles. I want to draw Yam too but that would take a bit more ref. And time because I have to learn how to draw a robot such as expressive as Yam lol. This is done in the tradition of mine 😏 to draw characters from books that I’ve just finished reading and really enjoy reading.
Alright, it’s might just be the right time to reread Hexwood again.
"Can't you treat yourself with a bit more consideration?" "Why should I?" Mordion said, hugging the duvet round himself. "Because you're a person, of course!" Ann snapped at him. "One person ought to treat another person properly even if the person's himself!"
