The main points from the "Viessmann daheim" talk today with Richi, Eisei and Katha (and Julian Schmid and Jenny Nowak but I skipped ahead to the ski jumping parts)
Richi was asked if he's sad no to be able to do a mixed comp in a team with Selina - he said that would've been amazing but it might be hard to even get on the team now with how good Karl and Andi are atm
They have single rooms - kein fliegendes Doppelzimmer bei der WM :(
The boys weren't at the hill for the girls' comp - apparently everyone sat in their rooms watching on the TV on their own xD
Eisei had his first ever World Cup win in Planica, he said he really likes coming there even though he sometimes questions his life choices when he first looks at the (ski flying) hill: "Was tu ich da eigentlich? Ich bin ja nicht ganz sauber"
Fun little story about the mixed team comp in Oberstdorf 2021: Apparently after the trial round the girls were unhappy with the conditions and the wind and Eisei gave them a bit of a talking to, telling them to pull themselves together and that they'd need to get a medal. He said he only thought about what he'd said afterwards but that it had done the trick apparently
They discussed four-hills tournament and ski flying for women, with Katha saying she's really looking forward to Vikersund
Eisei recalled his first time ski flying on the old ski flying hill in Planica
Eisei said he's really looking forward to jumping on the large hill now, the normal hill isn't his favourite: "Ich hatte etwas Probleme mit der Schanzentischlänge, die hätten mir da vielleicht noch eine Bierbank hinstellen können, dann wäre ich besser zurechtgekommen" (he struggled with the length of the table, "a beer bench in front of the table would've made things easier for me")
really varying degrees of Bavarian from both of them during the conversation (I always find that so interesting to see how people with dialects switch between really strong and less strong versions of their dialects, sometimes in the course of a few sentences)
