WRITE HONEYFLOWER VYUU JUST DO IT
He shines like the sun; the kind of boy who couldn't have lasted a moment in the underground, but who'd gotten them both (all three of them, she corrects, when she's strong enough to think on what she did to Kaito) out nonetheless and pulled them blinking into the light of him. And she watches him with a kind of recklessness, stares into his sunlight without a care for if it blinds her, and mourns to see the cracks in him and the burdens on his shoulders - because that's what she was trained to see, wasn't it?
(but more than that she sees the boy who managed to reach into the underground and save them without ever letting its poison take him - sees the way he never once says a word about Thomas' differences, the way he talks animatedly with Astral and relays information for the both of them, the way he deals with Kaito at his prickliest and never lets himself be discouraged by it - and V is content in a way she'd never expected to be again)
hiiragiyuzu asked: vyuu MAKING OUT is that a prompt i dont know did you really expect anything else from me
Neither of them is all that good at it at first; Chris because he's guilty and Yuuma because he's young, because he's never really kissed before (besides that one time, he says, with Kotori, but he says it had been like kissing a sister which is gross, and doesn't seem to notice Chris' aborted cringe). But after a while it starts to work, maybe, or at least their teeth stop knocking together and the biting of tongues and lips starts to be intentional, and fingers knotted in Chris' hair doesn't end in ten minutes spent detaching Yuuma when they try to pull apart.
(they fit together, in lips and tongues and teeth, in hands where they shouldn't be, and it's shameful and wrong but Chris can never resist the urge to steal another kiss from Yuuma no matter how he tries to stop)
Ficlet - Don't Wig Out
For a while, Yuma had been pestering Chris with the same question - "Can I brush your hair, Chris?". Every single time he had asked, it was always a candid 'no'. For a moment, Yuma would deflate, before puffing right back up. One day, Chris would have to say yes! Which meant Yuma would just have to keep pestering him. At some points, he would make himself comfortable on Chris' lap and pout, not moving until Chris would accept. And it was impossible to peel him off; the second his tiny yet strong arms were wrapped around him, there was no way he would come off without waiting for him to fall asleep. It would usually take about an hour of him sitting there before he would fall asleep, which meant Chris could easily peel him off. But one day, Yuma had come over to the Arclight household as he normally did. Chris greeted him at the door with a sort of unusual smile, and Yuma didn't trust him at all. Despite a bunch of questions, Chris led him silently to the living room. The moment Yuma stepped foot inside of the room, all of the questions stopped. On the coffee table was a brush, along with different pins and hair accessories. Really, it was the teenage girls' dream, and Yuma was looking at it. He looked over at Chris. There was no way this meant what he was hoping it did. But it didn't hurt to try to ask. "I can use this stuff on you?" Yuma asked, amazed. "Of course. Use whatever you want," Chris said, before sitting down on the sofa. Yuma stood in place for a moment, too excited to move. Once the shock had settled, he rushed over to sit behind Chris, who was waiting patiently for him. A lot of young teenagers around Yuma's age would have been excited over the thought of sleeping with their attractive partners. As for Yuma, he was excited to be putting all of these cool pins in his attractive boyfriend's hair. He picked up the brush and very carefully brushed out the knots from Chris' hair. It was so soft to touch, like a fluffy blanket. He wanted to wrap himself up in it. He looked over at what Chris was doing, and he was reading peacefully. Maybe he could have just... "Don't," Chris said. Yuma wasn't exactly sure what Chris was saying that at, but it was better not to make him mad. He decided against wrapping himself up in the softness of Chris' hair. Once he had done brushing it, Yuma took his time to braid his hair, being careful not to do too badly. He hadn't braided hair in a while - Akari always said she was too busy to let him do it to her. But at least it didn't look too terrible when he was braiding Chris' hair. Or, to him, it didn't look bad. He reached over and grabbed the pins and clips in bunches, not really sure what he grabbed. There were all sorts of clips of all different colours, but Yuma decided he should have gone for a theme; pink and blue. With that in mind, he began separating the accessories into two piles of the colours he didn't want and the colours he did want. Admittedly, with the amount of hair Chris had, Yuma went a little insane with the accessories. The once-neat - well, neat to an extent - braid had been ruined with as many accessories and pins Yuma could fit on. At last, his masterpiece was completed, and he demanded that Chris had to admire it right then and there. There was a silence as Chris stared at the pink and blue things in the messy braid Yuma had created. Yuma's heart sank as he realised Chris probably wouldn't have liked it. His hair was always neat and perfect, but Yuma probably got too carried away. Chris cupped Yuma's cheeks with both hands, holding his face still to place a quick little peck on his lips. He didn't let go of his cheeks, and watched the blood rise to his face. He could feel the warmth in the palm of his hands. "Thank you, Yuma," he said. Yuma quickly batted his hands away, huffing. "I-it was nothing, really," he said, looking away. But it really did mean a lot to Yuma that Chris didn't absolutely hate it. Not that he would have told him that, of course.
Some half finished untitled viewshipping and vendettashipping. Once again I'm blaming pyrachan for encouraging this. In which Yuma reminds V of IV far too much.
He hadn't meant for it to happen. It was an accident really. Yuma had been crying over Astral and Chris had comforted him, gently wrapping him in his arms. He'd missed this stage of his brother's lives. They'd been sent away or under Tron's control, far too mature for their age. So he held Yuma gently, those big red eyes reminding him entirely too much of Thomas'. His dear Thomas. It had just been a few hours, not even that, of Yuma crying into his chest and Chris wishing he could have still been there for Thomas in the same way.
He's never thought it meant anything but when Yuma was at his hotel door. He was wrapped in a coat and wearing shoes but seemed to have just got out of bed. Chris frowned but stepped aside and let him in.
"I'm sorry for disturbing you, V-"
"Just Chris is fine," Chris said softly, closing the door.
Yuma nodded. "Chris. I know it's late but I… I needed to talk to someone. I had- it's silly but I had a bad dream."
Chris nodded, locking the door again and moving over to sit on the settee, patting the seat next to him for Yuma. Yuma smiled weakly and sat next to him, watching him with big scared eyes. He understood why Yuma was having bad dreams. They all were. He saw it in Thomas' eyes every morning. His own dreams were haunted by the things they'd lost. He was sure Akari and any of Yuma's friends and family would try to help but Yuma was here for some reason.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Chris said quietly.
"I just… I needed to get out of there," Yuma replied quietly. "Sis doesn't understand. She doesn't get how much Shark meant to me. She tries to help but she doesn't get it and I don't know how to explain it to her. And, I know they're just trying to help, but all my friends are just trying to act like there's nothing wrong."
Chris nodded slightly. "That's alright."
"And I just really needed someone to talk to and for some reason I thought of you."
"That's fine, Yuma. If I can comfort you then I will. Would you like to stay with me tonight?"
"Yes please."
Chris nodded and gestured over to the bed. Yuma took off his coat and scurried into bed and Chris followed slowly, opening up his arms so Yuma could snuggle against him. He wrapped him in his arms and the blankets, letting him warm up and relax.
It was nice to have a youngster in his arms once more. Thomas used to come to him when he had bad dreams. As did Michael but it was Thomas who mattered. Thomas needed him. Thomas was always so proud, always wanting to keep him from brothering them so when he came to Chris for help he was always willing to give it to him.
Yuma's soft breath fell against his neck and Chris shivered slightly, pulling him closer. Even his eyes, big and red and full of life, reminded him of Thomas. They weren't quite the right shade or shape. They were too round and too dark. Thomas' were squarer and sharper and had a more pink tint but it was enough. They were the same sort of build and Thomas was roughly the same size at his age.
It was when Thomas was about his age Chris realised his feelings for Thomas. How beautiful he was and how much Chris longed to have his body pressed against him, holding him in his arms and letting him know how much he loved him and if Thomas couldn't believe his words he could show him with his actions.
"You're heart's beating faster," Yuma whispered and Chris realised his hand was against Chris' chest. "What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing," Chris murmured. "Just what used to be."
"You miss Kaito?"
"I do."
He missed Kaito very much. He loved him dearly. He was his best friend. Yuma nuzzled into his neck and Chris too a sharp breath. His hands slid down over Yuma's back, fingers playing across the small of his back and Yuma shivered slightly. This wasn't right. He should stop this right now. His mind should not be wandering in the direction it was.
Yuma nuzzled into him and their bodies were pressed so close. Chris closed his eyes, and after a long moment of hating himself, gave in. He held Yuma close, stroking his back with his palm and Yuma smiled contently, reaching up to his chest with both hands.
"That feels nice, Chris."
He smiled and kissed his forehead. "I'm glad."
He closed his eyes, tucking Yuma's head under his chin, rubbing his back gently, trying to ignore the small pleased noises Yuma made. Thomas used to snuggle up against him under his chin, nuzzling against him and making soft little noises like that. Chris had fallen in love with his brother on nights like these, the rare nights when he broke through Tron's spell and they were Chris and Thomas rather than V and IV.
His hand slid lower, over his rear and thighs and Yuma whimpered softly. "Chris?"
"You're so cute, Yuma," Chris whispered.
"Thanks… I think…" Chris smiled, stroking his body gently and earning a few soft moans. "Chris, what's going on?"
"Is there something wrong?" he said softly.
"I don't know."
Chris laughed softly and kissed his forehead only and Yuma tilted his head up, gazing up at him with those big red eyes. So familiar but so different. Thomas had looked at him like that once. Just before he ruined it all. Thomas never came to him again after that night and it killed him knowing that he'd destroyed his relationship with his brother in that one stupid, selfish moment. He didn't know if Thomas remembered or still held it against him. He never mentioned it and he never acted any differently but Thomas was gone and it was just IV after that night. His baby brother never came to him for comfort again.
Just as before, Chris leant down and pressed his lips slowly to the youngster's. Yuma gave a squeak and his eyes widened and Chris tangled a hand into his hair, holding him close. Yuma pressed his hands against his chest and Chris drew back slightly.
"Why- what are you doing, Chris?"
"Is there something wrong?" Chris said quietly.
"I don't understand."
"What's not to understand?"
"What's… why…"
Chris smiled and leant down again, pushing his lips to Yuma's once more. There was a heavy silence and Chris pulled Yuma's lithe boy gently against his, his hands sliding over his body once more.
"Yuma," he breathed, gently pushing Yuma onto his back, moving his kisses over his jaw and down his neck. Yuma's breath hitched and he groaned weakly. "You're so cute, Yuma."
"Chris…"

[ao3 mirror] ~1300 words vyuu; references to past bekuyuu and vkai notes: i started writing vyuu for yoomz like. forever ago but i think it is probably safe to say i am never getting this finished so i might as well post the wip up right since it left off in an abrupt but nonetheless Okay place. age difference ship obv and underage since yuuma's not aged up - this comes postcanon, but just barely. nothing more than kissing, though, although there's some implied past dub/noncon.
mermails asked you: hunger games au vyuu
