"HELP!!!" Cried a voice! "Someone please he-" then silence! Within an alleyway, a gathering of thugs scrambled backwards out of the alley in a panic! Firing there pistols at whatever was now roaring down dirty, dark corner! From it emerged a igneous motorcycle adorned in wheels of golden flame! Upon it, a leather clad man with a flaming skull for a head! He pursued the gang members, going at incalculable speeds! Using his right hand to clothesline of the thugs! Sending him rolling in the road!
Midnight
marks the hour of the witch
When the Moon hangs high over the city that never sleeps, the night invited the insects and pests to crawl from the shadows and rear their ugly heads within the city streets.
Demons crawl in search for trouble, and at this rate it was a problem that never seemed to cease no matter how many crooks you killed locked away.
Now there was a new goon in town..And as head of the Angel project, she thought it best to take matters into her own hands to investigate. After all, whatever this thing was being reported was not only supernatural,
but had an affinity for fire , death, and destruction in its wake.
At 2am, Rosie sits on the building edge with her legs crossed and swinging lazily to pass the time. She enjoys the breeze that flows between the skyscrapers and office buildings, rising from the bustling nightlife down below, and skims the feathers of her outstretched wings. In her ear is her husband’s voice ringing through the earpiece, the faint whistle of his swinging accompanying the deep hiss of Venom in every word he spoke, discussing their night.
“Ya know, Eddie, I don’t think I ever really appreciated this city for its night life when I was a cop. It just ain’t as pretty in the dirty streets and cars as it is up above.. plus, I have to bust people while in a car so it sucked the fun out of it.
I think im starting to like this new midnight shift.. I see why you do.”
She laughed at her own comment, but perhaps because the exhaustion of the day was starting to kick in and made her delirious. Soon to follow was a yawn as she stretched her arms out into the air, whining when muscles stretched, then sighing with relief when her bones cracked and popped.
“ I think I’ll start tagging along more often when we can get someone to babysit the kids-”
Eddie said something after that, though she didn’t quite catch it when her ears were caught honing on a scream somewhere in the distance that did not seem lighthearted enough to be a joke- especially when abruptly silenced.. and replaced by the thunderous roar of a motor engine rumbling off a few blocks between alley buildings.
The gears in her head quickly shifted as her expression tightens with concern, brows knitting together and lips tightening into a fine line as heavy eyes squinted off where the sound carries.
“..Ya heard that too? I’ll call you back.. I think we got our suspect.. Hold on for me, Big Guy.”
There’s a glow in the distance.
The angel leaps to her feet, and dives off the edge with silvery wings outstretched in haste. Gliding on the breeze, cutting between building and blocks..Its easy to follow a trail of fire and melting metals when the lights black out and leave this goblin beaming in the dark. Its a bit of a struggle to keep up when heat threatens to blister the only uncovered skin of her face, with her raised arms only did so much for defense. She has to get closer... She can hear screaming.
“ Hold on there! What the Hell are you- STOP!”
Through the blistering heat, she can just barely see ahead. But her eyes caught glimpse of the bodies left about in heaps. And the poor fool he chased now.. She could practically smell the piss in his pants with this burning demon on his tail. An impulse overcomes her, sheer will to stop this creature - not because she cared for the mugger, but rather she wanted to know the details of just what the HELL was this thing wreaking havoc in flames.
A good flap launches her forward and lands her between the two with a graceful falling from the air. Upon making a stand on her two feet, her posture stiffens with arms outstretched, palms facing out in signal to halt. Her wings outstretched in an instinctual display of might, her body bracing for impact.
From her mouth,a snarl resounds and teeth are bared in warning, her eyes burn bright with the surging gift in her veins.
“WHEN I SAY STOP,
I MEAN STOP!”
The bike collides with her awaiting hands with a deafening clap.
It takes all her might not to buckle upon the collision. He struck her with a force beyond anything Earth itself could have created.
Like being struck by a meteorite- Burning hot and hurdling forwards as an unstoppable force. Had it not been for her armor suited body and her gloves, she was certain she would have burned herself just as easily.
The angel grits her teeth to endure, bowing her head away from the heat while her legs lock in place to wedge herself between this demonic biker and the Earth. Its all rattling to her senses, the metal of her boots scrapping upon the asphalt of the street sends sparks flying, until it is next the gravel of breaking asphalt flying past the both of them in Resistance.
Her ears are ringing by then, her mind working all the same in grappling this supernatural being as she curses to endure the full strain put on her body.
By the time she halts him, She can feel the steam rising.. Her legs a good foot buried into the ground as she huffs with heavy breaths. Around the handles she held in place, her hands clench tighter with the slow raise of her head.. She stared the Ghost Rider in the face with a shaky breath.
“You.. What the hell are you...?”
