He was waving at passersby trying to get someone to throw a beanie bag at the dunk tank. The announcer was shouting out things about Riverborn and ‘back where they came from’ and ‘its only a buck-fifty’ yada yada yada. Gage was toning out the man’s shrill voice when he noticed a familiar face walking around Irving Plaza grounds. He hopped from his station and immediately got yelled at. “Viktoria! Viktoria!” he called out, then turned on his heel to the man shouting at him through a megaphone. “Alright, alright! Four more minutes! It’s okay!” They spoke for a few moments and he noticed Viktoria had heard his call and he smiled and waved at her. Gage nodded a couple more times then jogged over to the girl, still dry. “For getting off a few minutes early I have to come back in three hours for another shift. Do you wanna walk around a bit? Get something to eat?” he asked. “Oh I... I know our whole...” relationship “communication is surrounded by food, but why the hell not, right? Everyone eats, everyone needs energy. And while I’ve been sitting for the past hour, my stomach’s been grumbling for twenty minutes,” he chuckled, looking at his waterproof watch for clarification.
