I had to make them hug. I couldn't physically stop myself. I need V to get hugs.

"grief is heavy, please let me help you carry it."

(glaring intensely) love me damn it
"Don't look now Vik, but the best fighters in Night City are staring."
"Probably green with envy."
"You embarrassed?"
"Could never be embarrassed to be the one holding your attention."

"kiss for luck?"

I am once again consumed by thoughts of Viktor Vektor and the certainty that he doesn't think he's important to the narrative. He believes himself to be past his prime, on the way out, no longer a part of the story. He's not a fighter anymore. His victories are behind him. He doesn't know that his steadiness and gentleness fall over V's soul like a warm blanket on nights when the world seems too cruel and too cold. He doesn't know that V fights harder every time they remember making promises to Vik that they'd come back alive. He doesn't know that every time V gets a win in life, he's the first person they call, the first person they want to share it with. So maybe he's not part of the story to the rest of Night City, but to V, he's the reason. The reason V lives, fights, wins. He's the solid ground that V is building their legend on. Without him, there's no story.
