Meet Viktor!
Latte’s younger brother. He is a former marine, enlisted when he was 18. However, his active combat military career is cut short when his leg got blown off. Despite adapting well with his new leg, they discharged him. He was scouted by Kick when Kick tracked down some missing (stolen) drones and found Victor working on it out of spite for being discharged.
Somehow, Viktor improved the drone. But it seems like the materials used were stolen, and the tools too! Which begs the question, what else has he stolen???

“Hey sis! They won’t let me get a spoon unless I order food, even though I already got a drink. Sooo I bought a small Chilli and took ALL their free utensils.”

(I’m so happy that Viktor has now became a part of my OC roster! His characterization is heavily inspired by Michael Reeves. I really like how chaotic Michael’s personality is but also his resourcefulness and intelligence.
Victor is now Kick’s protégés with tech and works with Neptune on intelligence occasionally.)
I made a little more lore for her character, I hope this allows everyone to get to know her better.

Childhood/Life
Latte, born ShuXin, was born in a city hospital to an average Chinese couple. Her family immigrated to Canada when she was a baby due to her mother being pregnant again during the one-child policy. Her life in Canada wasn’t lavish but it was decent for her little family. She had a talent and love for singing. Her mother also loved singing, and upon realizing her talents, placed her in singing lessons. Latte was hoping to become a singer of sorts in adulthood. She grew up helping her parents in their restaurant. And she also cared for her little brother, Viktor. As the eldest, she was pinned down by a lot of expectations and unfortunately became parentified quite heavily by her parents and circumstances.
ODIN
When Latte was 14, her entire family was caught in the unfortunate event of ODIN during a Vacation down to Seattle, Washington. They weren't in the direct area that was hit, but near enough that her parents died from the complications and Latte and her brother were moderately injured. She was later sent back to Canada with her brother to live with a family friend, but she had to stop her extracurriculars due to financial reasons.
Professional Experience
Latte did an LPN program for nursing in Canada, She transferred to the States to be near her brother, Viktor, who is in the military. When she was transferred down to the States, the healthcare system was quite literally in shambles and there were a ton of employment opportunities. The healthcare system is low on nurses, doctors, and other essential staff alike, especially in the military. Many nurses and care aides also quit because they can’t handle the intense workload anymore, causing more shortages. She still dreams of singing but knows that it's unrealistic, you can find her singing quietly while she charts when there's a rare moment of downtime.
Personality
Friendly and patient, she has a great professional front, but can occasionally seem anxious when deep in thought.
She rather knowledgeable and intelligent.
Tends to spiral and overthink when overwhelmed.
She's an extrovert. She loves meeting new people and has gotten a stern talking to by her manager because she would waste time interacting with the patients.

A saviour syndrome/mother hen. Latte’s upbringing causes her to feel like it is her life goal to make sure everyone else’s needs are met before hers. Her mother’s words “Make sure you are considerate to others.” Often echoes in her head. Making sure everyone around her is satisfied. Often mother or nag Viktor even in adulthood. Causing Viktor to be occasionally a little avoidant. She accidentally blurs the line between a sister and a mother a lot.
Apologizes for everything, but that's partially because she's Canadian. But it does give the impression that she doesn’t think highly of herself.
Dynamic with Hesh
The first time they met, Latte thought he was adorable and had some butterflies in her belly but thought that was anxiety from Hesh holding her hand. And the second time they met, the feelings came back, and she was stammering and struggling to concentrate. Especially when she saw his well-built body, all rationality out the window. Latte felt an indescribable connection with Hesh. A mutual understanding of struggles with expectations from parents, being the responsible one for the younger siblings, and carrying the will of the family. But never allowed to break down yourself. She's able to be vulnerable and open with Hesh. Confiding in each other about their struggles with finding themselves, and how they aren’t just someone's son/daughter or brother/sister.
The only issue concern might be that Hesh is used to expressing his disapproval/demands since he is in the military. He is unaware of how intimidating he can come across. So he can be a little too direct and unconsciously make her anxious with his words and body language. On the other hand, Latte tends to hold back her complaints, but because Latte doesn’t express her needs or feelings, she tends to bottle up and then break down.
Skills
She is a great singer, has a soothing and smooth voice and can put you to sleep with her singing. Also a great voice for emotional ballads or musical numbers.
She is fast and efficient with her hands and is great at physical tasks with small or intricate details, due to her experience helping her parents in the restaurant. She is also a great cook because of this, but the downside is everything she cooks becomes Chinese or a Chinese fusion dish (not done on purpose).
Nursing skills since she is a nurse! Things like wound dressing, IV inserts, and medication admin. However, Her soft skills are where she shines. Her ability to de-escalate patients, comfort, and establish trust, and her bubbly personality make her the go-to person for unhappy patients and families.
FUN FACTS
Tends to speak to herself in Chinese when alone. Often receiving weird looks.
Able to speak, sing, read, and write in her native tongue. Latte is very connected with her culture. Makes Chinese holiday foods for the team.
Enjoys rock and upbeat music. She is an “any song as long as I vibe with it” type of music listener.
Had a weird edgy/emo phase from 13-15. Tried to teach herself how to metal scream. Ruined her voice for a week.
Not great at math, and was banned from being a cashier at the restaurant.
Very scary when actively angry. But the idea of her being openly angry is strange because no one in her professional life (Minus Lauren the manager and Viktor) has tasted her repressed and built-up wrath.
She LOVES the fries and cheeseburger combo. A good cheeseburger with tomato, sweet pickled onion, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, regular pickles, and a side of nice crispy fries is all she wants sometimes

My characterization of Viktor! cause I have been neglecting my boi a lil
I(’d like to preface this by saying I am aware that ODIN may not have struck Seattle but for the sake of my OC’s backstories I’m saying it did since it was mentioned lmao)

Childhood/Life:
Viktor was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He was a preemie baby and received a lot of attention and a bit of coddling growing up due to having lots of medical issues. Since he is slightly medically fragile, his family always doted on him. “Don't forget your puffer!” “Viktor you have your medicine??”
He was scrawny and short and nerd ™ until puberty slammed him in high school
Viktor has always been huge about STEM, loved space and rockets and robotics, and would have wanted to be a NASA engineer or someone who did technology innovations etc. He was brilliant and did well at school, even better than Latte. If Latte's average in high school was 93%, his average is 97-100% He excelled in STEM subjects
He was the sibling who wasn’t always required to help out with the family’s business. His parents saw his intelligence as too good for the small family business and often encouraged him to go do extracurriculars or clubs after school. When he did help out, he manned the cash registers since Latte was not good at counting money.
His parents often wanted him to behave more like Latte, drawing comparisons between the siblings, and occasionally pitting them against each other. This upbringing caused him to lash out often and become the blunt competitive chaotic mess he is today.
Personality:
Viktor is an energetic, brilliant, resourceful, sharp-witted and knowledgeable person. He craves the mental stimulation of learning but often plays devil's advocate just for the fun of it. He is charismatic to those who get along with him and downright a pain in the ass to those he would often oppose.
Some downsides can be him being too argumentative, and in a way that is abrasive and hurts other’s feelings. He can be intolerant or insensitive when he thinks someone is wrong or not being effective/efficient in his opinion.
He is also a Yapper ™ like his sister, but only about his ideas and thoughts. Great if you can match his level of wit; if not, it can sound like he is being condescending and arrogant, even though he doesn’t intend it.
He doesn't apologize in significant ways, as in will say“My bad bro” but rarely sorry.
Secretly really guilty and carries a lot of self-hatred regarding the guilt he feels toward his parents and Latte. (especially Latte)
ODIN:
Similar to Latte, Viktor’s life was changed drastically when he insisted he wanted to Seattle for his birthday at the end of July, however, their parents only had time off at the beginning of summer, since Summer is prime restaurant business times in Canada. Especially with school giving out in late June, So they departed on the 10th of July.
When Odin struck, he was knocked semi-unconscious, he could still hear the chaos around him. He remembered hearing his mother’s last words very clearly as that was the only thing he could focus on with his limited consciousness. Latte pulls him out afterwards, where he regains enough consciousness to look at the wreckage of their car and the roads and the people around them. Before passing out completely.
Viktor and Latte were both sent back to Canada by the US gov to live with a family friend they were close with, during this period Viktor would throw himself into studying robotics.
Professional Experience:
Viktor had incredible records of innovation and was very resourceful, he took part in the high school robotics team, and the coding and programming club, learned mechanic elective courses in high school, and had hobbies in building technology. He was also taking online courses regarding STEM subjects, programming, and, and sneaking into college classes/getting his college friends to send them their Engineering assignments to study off of.
However, despite being offered scholarships from decent universities, he refused them and opted for the military instead. He was 17 he wanted to join the military (further explained in his in-depth personality post coming up). The family friend housing him and Latte was eager to send him away since he was an abrasive person and often would clash with their children. Latte had tried her best to convince him out of it but he fought her hard on it. So he joined the Marines after turning 18.
Due to unfortunate events caused by the negligence of his higher-ups and somehow major military oversight made by his team and the group he was with. It cost him his leg, he was sent away to heal from his injuries. He passed all the requirements to be a part of the military again but his team put in a bad message of him because he was tough to get along with. Thus making him unable to return to his military career, until Kick found him tinkering and upgrading stolen drones using pretty impressive robotics, mechanical, and coding/programming knowledge. He was then offered a prelim position to the Ghosts.
Currently working with Neptune, Livi, and Kick to train under them. But is Kick’s disciple technically.
Skills:
Incredible tech ability due to lifelong interest and experience with Robotics, programming/coding, and mechanical skills.
His mechanical skills can extend past computers and hacking to vehicles. Can probably build a PC in his sleep. Can also fix up a car like no one's business.
Incredible resourcefulness with limited supplies and ability to find ways to acquire knowledge. Mmm, brain stimulation.

Pretty good fighter who can scrap and swing on ppl, his height and muscular build def help.
Strangely flexible? Can kick high. Enemies might think they are fist-fighting him and suddenly you get a kick version of an uppercut. (an upper kick?)

Cannot speak Chinese past a few words, sucks at the tones, can understand some Mandarin, and maybe count to 10. Opposite of Latte. Whitewashed af

Latte:
I wanted her to have both singing and speaking voices. Her speaking voice should be medium pitch but still decently playful or youthful I started to try and find artists that sang softer tunes and more relaxing types of music that also had a proper speaking voice.
I played my jazz playlist and when Lauvey's 'From the Start' played, I was like!! THAT IS IT.
In the end, I decided on 2: Lauvey for her English voice and a Chinese singer named WongOK on YouTube for her Chinese singing voice. WangOK also has a really warm full round tone in her voice similar to Lauvey in my opinion.

Viktor:
I had struggled quite a lot to find his perfect voice. I had an idea of what I envisioned him to sound like, but I can't remember what media it was from.
I originally thought it was Nick Wilde's voice(the fox from Zootopia) because he was one of 2the inspirations for Victor's character. But his voice ended up too "Thin" Sounding and didn't feel quite right. I didn't wanna give him an extremely deep voice since that is Keegan's domain lol.
I searched for roughly 20 minutes for the right Masc voice, and I found the character whose voice I remember but not the media.
Viktor's voice claim is none other than Nightwing from the DC animated movies! Voiced by Sean Maher, I thought this voice had a decent depth and playfulness in his voice.
Don’t have enough brain energy to write a full first date fic for Latte and Hesh, might just do something short. Heavy dialogue type stuff. My brain wanna write a Viktor backstory
