death: what are three things you want to do before you die?

ahhh okay this is something i don’t think about too often, as in setting a bucket list or anything because there’s something about it that unsettles me?? I don't know, BUT there are definitely things i want to do in life, so here:

1. i’d like to write a novel - a full, coherent novel babyyy. the true dream would be to have it published somewhere but more than anything i would really love to finish one

2. it’s cliche, perhaps, but i want to travel more! there are so many places i want to go to oh man (my dream australia/new zealand/japan trip one day one day!!!)

3. and this last thing isn’t really a thing, but like, i want to build a life for myself that i really like? i want to, at some point, feel like my life is entirely my own, and feel really good about how i’ve constructed it - it’s more of a feeling than a thing so it’s weird to explain, but hopefully makes sense??? 😬

Wow okay bold of me to barge into your askbox like this but perhaps the skamaustin anon will see this: so I'm writing my MA dissertation about technology progress and social media and how it affect fandoms and tv shows and how tv creators rely more heavily on loyal fans etc. and how they use user-generated content in marketing and stuff so @anon if you see this and would be so kind to talk to me about it more I would be eternally grateful!! (It'd be for my personal use only I promise)

that's so exciting! best of luck!! (and fwiw, I felt the same way when I interviewed for art college. it's absolutely terrifying. but often potential counts for more than current skill level; if you can show that you love the work and are eager to learn and improve, that's half the battle won)

thank you so much for the advice! i figured i’ll have to focus on my passion and love for art at any case since i’m so dissatisfied with my “portfolio”, if i can even call it that; so it’ll be brilliant if they do give me points for that

thank you! well to be honest i think it’s because i’ve contacted them and came to kind of an event they had for people who’re interested in studying there; they had those forms i had to fill with my details so they could contact me later and see if i was still interested after everything i saw there. so it’s more routine than actual interest from them? but yeah i’m still trying to be optimistic about it. it’s a small place but they’re super high quality and seem to have high standards. i just hope what i’ve got to offer will be good enough

26. does your nationality get portrayed in Hollywood/American media? what do you think about the portrayal?

It does get portrayed but I personnaly think I’ve seen more american characters mentionning french people than actual french characters in hollywood movies. As for the way we are represented, it’s ok? we’re sometimes the vilains but most of the time I think we’re shown as quite romantic or elegant or educated but it really depends on the time period of the movie/show.
