Piece of Italy in Wisconsin
We did not anticipate the flurry of wine recommendations, blog post ideas, and local wineries to visit through the creation of this blog. It has been fantastic! We love the conversation with our friends and family surrounding red wine.
One conversation struck my interest and I shared it immediately with my sidekick, the other fool. A co-worker’s husband found his new favorite red wine over the weekend at a winery in Pepin, WI. Villa Bellezza is open for visitors every day to taste their wines, tour their winery, and escape to Italy for an afternoon. Road Trip! In less than two hours, you could be sipping on a local Wisconsin wine while enjoying the view of rows of grapevines. A true local experience!
The Cotes du Pepin topped my co-workers husband's list of favorite wines and they even purchased a case for 12 more bottles of wine tasting pleasure. Other wines that left an impression include Banco, Zitella, and Riva. Four fan favorite wines – one for each hour of your road trip to and from the metro.
If you explore Villa Bellezza or another noteworthy local winery, let us know.
