HI MOM WE SWEAR IF YOU JUST GIVE US THE TREAT WE WONT EAT YOUR UNDERWEAR OR DESTROY THE BLINDS OR CHEW YOUR SHOES OR WAKE YOU UP AT 2AM READY TO PARTY LOOK HOW CUTE WE ARE PLEASE GIVE ME COOKIE. — as many of you know, Hazel (and Harrison) joined myself and Ellie in LA this weekend and my heart feels full looking at the two reunited once again. Some day soon Beans will be sitting right next to them but for now, “2 out of 3 ain’t bad”, as a wise man once said. Hazel is adjusting to Long Beach well and now has herreal friends to play with again (not jaut the imaginary one she’s been bouncing around with for the last few months. And Ellie has another piece of Uganda right here with her so the two of them can take on this crazy world together with us as we all readjust one day at a time. My heart is happy and I know theirs is too. Thank you to their granddogparents @llivesay04, mike, & @sabokay for keeping such good care of Hazel and Beans, we are eternally grateful. As the African proverb says, “it takes a village to raise a child” and it has taken several communities who have come together to get these girls healthy, safe, and all the way from Arua Uganda to Kampala to Dubai to NY to DC and to California.
