So how are they the bad guys in your au?
So I've thought about this a lot actually!
And I tried to summarize it simply and explain it the way I see it in my head BUT ya boy bunnytrailed and got too excited about talking abt my au SO
The Tarrons rule with an iron fist- no tolerance for insubordination or disrespect of any kind.
The cities are filled with servelliance drones like the ones used to attacked Morando, only these drones are used to keep 24/7, 360/5 watch on anything and everything.
The drones were designed and created by the mysterious Aja Tarron, rarely ever seen outside the palace, and when she does appear, it's with her brother, or their looming bodyguard, Vex, and she always wears a long hooded cape to hide underneath.
She isn't very social and has an irrational fear of large crowds, partially due to her parent's vehement warnings and the riots their people would sometimes bring to the palace gates. She doesn't have a good relationship with her parents, and fights with them often.
Aja is not so convinced as her brother that they are more important and/or better than their citizens, but doesn't act kindly towards them either due to her upbringing.
Krel is the warrior, he is boisterious, loud and enforces his fathers laws whenever the opportubity arises. He fully believes his station puts him above all other citizens, including even Vex, which causes strife between the two sometimes.
Krel is cunning, can be very mean and is very good at combat, and will jump at the chance to show off his skills.
He often sneaks out, despite his father's wishes and temper, usually bringing his hound Lug, whom citizens fear a little less than the king and queen themselves, for Krel has and will let Lug loose on anyone he deems deserving.
Krel is always trying to get Aja to sneak out and have fun with him, as she is the only real friend he's ever had, and vice/versa.
Don't attempt to speak to, or even make eye contact with Vex. He can and will wipe the floor with you, verbally and physically.
Vex thinks he's hot shit and has no impulse control, he can be reckless and loses track of Krel and Aja constantly. He loses his temper easily, and has massiiiive ego. He is very loyal, but beware- if offered very specific rewards he will go behind backs, will not outrightly betray someone but probably makes someone else do it for him.
His catchphrase is also 'Marvelous'.
King Fialkov is also temperamental and doesn't trust nearly anyone outside his own family- he even doubts Coranda's loyalty on occasion.
He can be a bit paranoid and is very hard on Krel, wanting more than anything for him to be the perfect King-in-Waiting. He doesn't try to interact with Aja except on a basic level, as he doesn't think Aja will make as good a ruler as Krel. In that aspect he's just cruel.
Coranda is the brains behind this whole operation, and rules the planet all the while making her husband think he's the one running the show. Coranda is cynical and doesn't show mercy, whereas her husband is susceptible to a citizen's begging and pleading- she is not.
She is over protective of Aja and has Vex watch her at all times, when he isn't tasked with Krel instead. When it's time to sleep, Coranda will spend hours watching Aja sleep. She is hellbent on turning Aja into a queen of steel like her, and is deeply afraid of what may happen if Aja is caught by rioteers. [Which wouldn't be such a problem if they didn't rule like overbearing assholes.]
The Tarrons as a whole are tryannical rulers, and have been trying to squash the slowly progressive uprising of citizens, led by the valiant Val Morando of the people, which hasn't been going so well.
