3, 4 and 17 for your durge!!
3. How did Orin go about taking your Durge down? Did she need to trick them? Was Durge blindsided, or did they see her betrayal coming?
I think it was like any other day for my durge, Cahira, until it wasn't. She was going to go meet Gortash for something doing with the dead three when she gets stopped by Orin. Her and her sister get into an argument about how basically Cahira is not the leader this temple needs, it's her (Orin) that she should rule instead (the usual). And then when Charra is like 'I don't have time for this' and turns around to leave that's when Orin strikes and knocks her "beloved" sister and leader down, getting her with her when her back's turned (no honor among thieves and the like). So yeah, she was taken by surprise, she just assumed Orin was being silly and that she would eventually fall in line and be happy with her station beneath her. I think in her own twisted way she always tried to see the best in Orin. All the way until the bitter end she always saw the best in her sister.
4. How does your Durge feel about Orin in game? Do they remember her at all?
I was actually going to make Orin her "dream guardian" but stopped because I don't have any mods and it wasn't looking like her at all, instead I ended up making it my durge's adopted mom (a whole nother story for another time there's a lot of my durge's lore revolved around that woman. So anyways what I think my durge does have are flashes of Orin. She can only remember the "sweet" times of them together, like braiding her hair, obscured late night conversation, a handful of childhood memories of her caring for Orin when they were both just mere children. I think when she sees her for the first time something just clicks in her mangled brain she like "it's you the girl from my memories" and even know their paths have changed and my durge is "good" now she still has that instinct to protect Orin even after what she did to her. Also, my durge always wears a braided hairstyle (she wears the coronet in game) and I like to think that's because that was my durge's thing. She was really vain and artful about her hair when she was the leader of Bhaal's cult (because in childhood before she came to the temple, she wasn't allowed to have long hair by her mother). And I like to think she was the one who first started doing Orin's hair in braids as well, and that part of her has always stayed with her even with most of her memories gone.
17. Did your Durge know Sarevok hoped they’d have children with Orin? How do they feel about that whole situation? your Durge know Sarevok hoped they’d have children with Orin? How do they feel about that whole situation?
I think my Durge thought the notion was a little bit ridiculous not because it involves sleeping with her sister (trust me she was doing that already) or because they're both girls (fpreg aka girls getting each other pregnant is CANNON in the bg3 universe fight me). She just thought it was ridiculous that Seravok was trying to convince her that their children would be more powerful than her, the purest Bhaalspawn ever. She saw breeding with Orin as just kinda pointless because she was already Bhaal's chosen and she was going to kill the entire world. Every single plane of existence and every being within them was going to be sacrificed by her before she killed herself and returned her blood to her father, so she didn't see the point in having children with "diluted" blood with Orin. Like a whole 'we were both born to die so what's the point in having children' type scenario. So to recap her and Sarevok had very different views on the matter.
